课时分析
本模块继续学习由情态动词Can引导的一般疑问句及其答语的句型结构,本单元是第五模块的第一单元第二课时,主要呈现本模块所要学习的主要内容,课文通过对话的形式,大明询问Sam是否能做某事的句型,本节课主要学习用句型“Can you... Can I... I can”讲述自己的能力,通过介绍自己的情况结识笔友或网友。
本课时包括Listen, read and act out.,Listen and say.和Practise.两个板块。Listen, read and act out.板块为大家讲述了Simon和Daming在路上遇到了Simon的朋友Laura.Laura是一个来自英国的小姑娘。Daming向Laura介绍了自己的两位英国好朋友Sam和Amy。Laura希望成为Sam和Amy的笔友,同时也希望Daming能成为自己的笔友。那么他们三个人之间具体都聊了些什么内容呢?Listen and say.我们可以通过听音频、看动画的方式整体感知语境,从而复习句型“Can you+动词原形+其他?”,我们通过分组练习的方式进行表演,注意语音语调,然后结合practise一起,更能激发学生学习英语的兴趣。Practise.板块是一个综合性的语用活动。学生可以通过这个活动将前3部分所学的词汇和句型描述自己的活动,做到学以致用。
课时目标
(1)能掌握以下单词和短语:address, pen friend, dance, chess, football.
(2)能掌握以下句型:
① — Can you be my Chinese pen friend
— Yes, of course. This is my address in China.
② — Can you speak English
— Yes, I can speak some English.
③I can write in English.
(3)用情态动词can来表达能够做某事。
(4)学会表达邀请,学会对邀请进行恰当的答复。
(5)能用write to sb 、can be...、speak English、pleased to do sth说句子。

(1)运用所学提出邀请,接受邀请和拒绝邀请。
(2)正确使用can这一情态动词。

(1)扎实掌握重点词汇和表示邀请的句型“Can you... ”并能灵活运用。

教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
1. 在大屏幕上向学生展示一张邀请函。
T: Hello, everyone! Yesterday I received an invitation letter from a French, and he wanted me to be his pen friend. But I can’t speak some French. I’m good at English. I don’t know what to do. What should I say Can you help me …
2. Ss try to answer the questions.
Step 2 Presentation
1. 引导学生们看大屏幕上邀请及两个答语。
Look at the expressions on the screen: “Yes, of course.” “Yes, I can speak some English.” Read the expressions to the class and the students repeat each one.
Can you speak English Have the S1 give “yes answers” and S2 give “no answers” then plus a reason. Ask students to give their own reasons. If necessary, I can give a reason and have the students repeat it.
2. 用汉语向学生说明回答别人提问时,做出两种类型的答复。
Step 3 Game
1. 学生看大屏幕上的转盘,根据转盘所停止位置的词组来做邀请与应答的游戏。
2. Make a model to the Ss:
e.g. S1: Can you speak French
S2: Sorry, I can’t. I have to prepare for the math exam.

3. Ss work in pairs and answer the questions.
Step 4 Listening
1. T: Now listen to the recording and write the names next to the correct students in the picture.
2. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. Play the recording a second time. Write the name of each person next to his or her picture.
3. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss.
Step 5 Group work
1.Help students form groups of four. Say, one of you is student A. Student A asks the other three students if they can speak a kind of foreign language. The other students say “yes” or “no”.
2. Have the students work in groups. Student A show others his skills. eg: I can dance. I can play chess.
3. Let some groups ask and answer about their conversations.
Step 6 Listening
Listen, read and act out环节。听录音。

3. Can Laura write English
4. Guess, can Daming and Laura be good friend
Step 7 Homework
1.朗读并背诵第五模块第一单元学习的单词。
2.朗读并背诵活动二的课文。

课时分析
本课时是六年级上册第五模块第一单元Can you be my Chinese pen friend 课文是通过Daming、Simon、Laura的对话向同学们介绍了“怎样交笔友“。交友话题贴近学生生活实际,语言实用性较强,本课时复习巩固sb can---表达能力,和 Can--- 询问对方能力,Can--- 表达意愿请求的用法。增加了语言的综合运用,把问候,自我介绍,讲述自己的能力,询问能力和表达交友请求的句子综合运用,目的是提升学生的语言综合运用能力。本课时对话内容有利于课堂操作。六年级的学生对can 的用法有一定的掌握,本课时在原有知识的基础上进行了螺旋式的上升,即语用功能,把问候,自我介绍,讲述自己的能力,询问能力和表达交友请求的句子综合运用。这节课让学生进行实际的操练,学生会喜欢学习。
本课时的Look, listen and say.为大家讲述了有一个报导,里面涉及到电视采访者、大明、西蒙、鹦鹉,我们通过询问某小动物是否能做某事的句型结构及其答语等构成。该部分起到了一个导入的作用。

Step 1 Warm-up
1. Have a dictation of the new words and new sentences of Module 4.
2.Use the PPT to show the chant of Page 24. Let the students say the chant together,clap their hands or do some actions at the same time.
【设计思路】通过听写复习上一模块的单词和句型,通过一首英文歌谣激发学生的学习积极性,拉近师生间的距离。让学生快速地进入学习状态。使教学环节自然过渡到下一环节。
Step 2 Preview
老师根据chant的内容提问:
1. How do they feel
2. Are they having lots of fun
3. Can you say the chant well
【设计思路】通过这三个问题的设置,可以起到承上启下的作用。使第一环节自然渡到第二个环节,第二环节又自然过渡到本节课重点部分,即下面的新授环节。
Step 3 Presentation
1.新课导入。
After saying the chant, the teacher tells the students: I think you can say the chant well.
Then ask the students individually.
T: Can you say the chant well
S:Yes, I can.
把话题引导到语言上来。把几个问题写到黑板上,请学生回答:
Can you speak Chinese
Can you speak English
Can you write Chinese
Can you write English
2.Unit 1 Activity 1 Look. listen and say.
T: Good! I think you can speak English. But can the panda speak English
Now please listen to the tape of Activity 1 on Page 26,then answer the questions
Let the students look at the book, listen to the tape and find
the answer: No,he can’t.
Let the students listen to the tape again and follow the tape.
Then practise in pairs and act out.
3.课文教学。
将本课的挂图贴在黑板上,播放录音或动画,呈现课本内容。
T: OK, boys and girls, just now we knew the panda on the TV can’t speak English. Can Darning speak English Can Laura speak English Can Laura write in Chinese Can Darning write in English Please watch the video and then answer those questions. After watching, check the answers with the whole class.
单词和句型教学:
Then let the students open their books, look at Activity 2, listen to the tape and pick out the new words and sentences.

(7) 情态动词“can”的用法。
把新单词和新句型板书出来。然后用PPT做砸金蛋的游戏 进行操练。具体方法是:把单词和句型放到金蛋里,让学生任选一个金蛋,砸碎以后读出金蛋里的单词或句子。
T: Very good! Next look at your books, read the dialogue after me please! Pay attention to the pauses during the long sentences.
Practise the dialogue in halves or in parts or in pairs

【设计思路】本环节的设计做到了词不离句,句不离篇。通过各种各样的操练形式来操练单词,重点句型和对话,让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中习得新知。
Step 4 Consolidation and extension
1.活动一 :
现在很多学生都在业余时间学习各种技能,因而可以让他们说说他们自己会做些什么。另外,还可以让同学们说说自己的父母,老师做些什么。

然后与同桌交流,使用句型:Can you...
2.活动二 :
做几个动画明星的面具,让学生对着带着面具的老师发问,还可让部分学生也带上自己喜欢的明星的面具,让其他学生也带上自己喜欢的明星的面具,让其他学生向他们发问。可以很好地操练句型:Can you...
【设计思路】本环节设计了两个活动,使学生在合作探究中完成学习任务,运用所学的新知识。
