1. Greetings. (师生间进行愉快的问候。)
2. Free talk: Talk about animals.
老师热情地问候学生们后,可以询问学生们都喜欢哪些小动物 ,为什么喜欢,为导入主题做铺垫。

3. Let’s Guess
教师出示课件,用英语描述一些动物,让学生来猜测。
T:Let’s guess some riddles about animals:

课时分析
六年级学生已经掌握了比较丰富的英语知识,一般现在时在三四年级已经接触过,本课中只要稍加提示和练习学生就可以灵活运用。因为六年级的学生已经有了一定的单词识读基础,所以单词教学部分也相对轻松,但这一部分要注重对学生的语音教学。本模块的主题是“Animal facts”。它是以学生喜欢的话题“动物习性”为主要教学内容。
外研版小学英语六年级上册第七模块第一单元第一课时,该课时包括Look, listen and say.和Listen, read and act out.Look, listen and say.主要为大家讲述了蛇和狗的一些习性;Listen, read and act out.为大家讲述了Daming的外婆送给他一张关于动物的DVD作为礼物,他们正在一起观看,咱们也一起去看看这张有趣的DVD吧。我们能通过这个DVD能体会到保护动物,爱护动物的必要性,并能通过各个途径去了解其他动物的习性。
课时目标
(1)能识读并运用单词:believe,lucky, bamboo, dangerous, frightened, fantastic。

Game: guess给学生出示一些描述动物的句子,让学生猜测是哪种动物。
给学生出示snake和panda的图片及相关句式提示,让学生在原有认知上描述两种动物。(这两个练习初涉本课主题动物习性,一方面让学生回忆动物相关知识,另一方有利于导入课文教学)
