Unit 2 It’s show time!
Lesson 11:Food in China
一、教学分析
●学生情况:教学对象是七年级学生,他们学习英语有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有较强的求知欲和表现欲,但部分学生存在不自信,羞于表现等思想顾虑,但又希望能得到他人的肯定。新课程理念指出亲自实践、自主探索、合作交流是学生学习的主要方式。因此,在教学活动中尽可能多的让学生参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感;有一些学习困难生由于基础薄弱,缺少丰富的语言基础,对某些任务的完成有一定的难度,教师可采取小组奖励的办法,通过学生间的合作学习,促进小组成员之间的互帮互学,鼓励小组中的优秀成员主动帮助学习困难生,培养学生的团队意识。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,让他们都能体验到成功的喜悦,使各层次的学生都有所收获。
●教学内容:Lesson 11 Passage
●教学目标:通过本课的学习,让学生能够熟练使用感官动词来描述菜肴等带来的感受。并且能理解记忆一词多意的词。
●教学重点:
1.掌握词汇:online, especially, treasure, end, product, worth, hand-made, taste, supper, once.
2.掌握句型:Everything was great—especially the food.
They look good and taste great!
3.熟练某道菜肴的特色并能用恰当的形容词来描述其口感。
4.规则动词和不规则动词一般过去时的转换。
●教学难点:
1.准确适用感官动词并区分并正确使用一词多意,。
2.能熟练的运用英语在集体讨论中抒发自己的看法。
二、教学目标:
●语言知识:
  (1)学习和掌握本节课重点词汇。
(2)熟练掌握感官动词的用法和一词多意:taste, smell, feel, sound, look, dish, treasure, product。
(3)运用英语准确描述一些世界闻名的菜肴和口感。
●语言技能:
通过本课的学习培养学生综合运用语言的能力,有效提高学生的听说能力。通过和朋友在网上讨论来锻炼学生的语言即时交际能力。
●情感态度:
通过本课的学习,让学生之间互相交流各地特色菜肴,有助于培养学生的烹饪爱好,增强自理能力。
●学习策略:听力训练、复述课文、小组活动、个人展示。

四、教学步骤
Step 1 Revision (about 5 min)
1.Quick response: Teacher speaks Chinese, students say out the English words or expressions as quickly as possible.
2.Give students 1 min to prepare the introductions they prepared last class,then read them to the class.
2.Check homework: Let some students check the answers of the exercises.
【设计思路】:通过快速反应来检查学生对于上节课内容的复习情况,通过学生再次介绍昨天写下的特长,来检测学生是否对上节课的内容掌握良好,是否能灵活运用。通过核对上节课布置的练习题的答案,来考查学生是否掌握了上节课所学。
Step 2 Presentation (about 13 min)
1.Present the new words of this lesson.
2.Teacher shows a big map of China. Every province is marked by their traditional dishes. Teacher first introduces her favourite dish, then ask some students what their favourite dishes are. Encourage them to say something about these dishes.
3.Listen to the tape, and simply, write down the most important points as quickly as they can.
4.Listen again. Have a guess what dishes they are talking about. Invite some students to introduce more about them.(Encourage them to use different kinds of adjectives as much as possible.)
5.Teacher shows the sentences of Part One through ppt. Students are expected to judge whether they are true or not.
【设计思路】:老师通过多媒体展示一张中国地图,每个省都标注着当地的特色菜肴,老师先从图中挑选一道介绍自己最喜欢的菜肴来介绍,然后让一些学生尝试着介绍自己喜欢的菜肴,在此过程中,老师应鼓励学生多使用形容词。通过听录音判断句子正误来带领学生熟悉这篇对话的内容。
Step 3 Practice (about 19 min)
1.Read the passage and fill in the blanks of the Exercise.
2.Teacher guides students to mark some important words which have more than one meaning. And list them on ppt. Make students to make sentences by using all the meanings.
3.Introduce the usage of verbs of the senses. Let students use this kind of word to make sentences as much as possible.
4.Make students to retell the whole passage by using Simple Past Tense.
5.Work in groups: one introduces two kinds of their favorite dishes and others talk about them like the text. They are expected to use verbs of senses.
6.Show their conversations in the class.
【设计思路】:朗读课文,完成课后的填空练习。老师引导学生通过串讲找出文中拥有多个意思的词汇,分析其意思,并用每个意思来造句。从文中引出taste等感官动词,介绍感官动词的用法,并让学生尽可能多的造句。再让学生用一般过去时来复述整篇文章,练习动词的变法。最后让学生小组活动,由一个学生介绍他最喜爱的两道菜,其他组员相互讨论或陈述自己对其的观点。
Step 4 Summary & Homework (about 3 min)
1.Let some students sum up today’s contents. They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. And they should sum up what the verbs of the senses are and how to use them.
2. Homework: Write a few sentences about “ My Favourite Dish”, and draw a picture of or bring a photo of the dish.
【设计思路】:让学生来总结本节课的内容,有助于检验学生的听课效果,锻炼他们的归纳总结能力。通过写“我最喜爱的一道菜”可以锻炼学生的书面表达能力并巩固本节课所学的内容。

五、 教学反思
在本节课结束之后,我将对本节课进行反思,对于学生掌握的情况做一总结。对于用“美食地图”来导出本课内容的这个想法相信会取得好的效果,形式新颖又直观,更容易提起学生的兴趣,继而让他们觉得有话可说,当然效果还要到实践中去检验。通过本文的学习,关键是锻炼学生能够熟练运用语言针对自己感兴趣的话题进行即时聊天。对于口语和语言的即时交际能力是一种锻炼。

四、教学步骤
Step 1 Revision (about 7 min)
1.Have a diction: Teacher speaks Chinese, students write down the English words or expressions they learnt yesterday.
2.Translation:Let some students translate the passage sentence by sentence, and others say out the English sentences together.
3.Review the verbs of senses and the words which have more than one meaning. Then make students make sentences by using them.
【设计思路】:通过听写检查学生对于上节课重要词汇的掌握情况。并翻译原文来复习课文表达。最后复习感官动词和有多个意思的词,并用它们来造句,让学生熟练掌握它们的用法。
Step 2 Presentation (about 12 min)
1.Teacher reads several classical paragraphs of Marco Polo’s Travels and tells students that it’s a good habit for someone to write travels after trip.
2.Let students show their souvenirs and pictures they bought and took during the trip and told others something about their trips.
3.Listen to the tape: Answer the following questions:
(1)Where did Li Ming have a trip
(2)What did he realize
(3)What did he learn from the trip
4.Listen again, and finish Part One of the exercises. Then check the answers together.
5.Read the passage together.
6.Work in groups and talk about the grammar focus. Then let some students analyze the important words and expressions. And let students use them to make sentences
【设计思路】:
老师通过阅读《马可波罗游记》中的经典片段来导入本节课,并让学生们拿出自己旅游时照的照片和买的纪念品来谈谈自己的某次旅行。然后听录音,通过回答三个问题,了解李明的游记内容。再听一遍,完成课后第一题。最后齐读,翻译,小组内讨论语法点,再让学生展示他们讨论的成果,教师做补充。
Step 3 Practice (about 18 min)
1.Oral composition: Teacher gives them a Chinese passage which is similar to Li Ming’s travel notes. Students work in groups and try to translate the whole passage. Then ,the whole class translate it together.
2. Work in groups: Take out their things and talk about something about their trips .
3. Invite some students to share their own trips.
4.Make them write down their travel notes.
【设计思路】:老师给学生展示一篇和本课课文类似的汉语文章,让学生小组谈论,翻译出来。小组展示后再由全班一起翻译。然后让学生们在小组里用他们的照片和纪念品来论他们自己的游记,邀请几位学生在台前展示。最后将自己的游记写下来。
Step 4 Summary & Homework (about 3 min)
1.Let some students sum up today’s contents. They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. And they should sum up how to write the travel notes, especially the tense.
2.Homework:Write down their own trips.
【设计思路】:让学生来总结本节课的内容,有助于检验学生的听课效果,锻炼他们的归纳总结能力。通过仿照课文来写游记,不但可以巩固自己所学的知识,也锻炼了写作能力。

六、 教学反思
在本节课结束之后,我将对本节课进行反思,对于学生掌握的情况做一总结。本节课用《马可波罗游记》导入新课相信对学生有一定的吸引,能够提起他们对本节课的兴趣。通过带照片和纪念品在小组中谈论他们的旅行经历可以给孩子更多的灵感,让他们能够畅所欲言。通过篇章的汉译英,可以锻炼孩子们的口语表达和句子组织能力。最后把自己的游记形成书面文章,可以更好的锻炼他们的写作能力。通过上述活动后,就不会觉得无话可写。

Step 1 Revision (about 5 min)
Let some students read their travel notes they wrote yesterday in class, others should correct their mistakes.
【设计思路】:通过学生读自己昨天写的游记,其他学生帮助纠正错误这个活动,一方面检测了学生是否掌握了如何书写游记,另一方面学生念,可以锻炼其他学生的听力能力。学生互相纠错可以帮助他们总结大家都容易犯的错误。
Step 2 Contest (about 5 min)
1. Let students sum up the main contents of each lesson through ppt.
2. Have a competition: Teacher will reward the group which first finish Part One .
2. Have a competition: If a student finish Part Two, please write the answers on the blackboard as quickly as possible. If they’re right, the one can be awarded; If not, the one will be punished.
【设计思路】:通过小组比赛和个人比赛,检测学生对于本单元重要词汇的掌握情况。赏罚分明的方式可以激发学生的潜力。
Step 3 Grammar Practice (about 10 min)
1.Complete the chart in Page 30,and use above words to fill in the blanks.
2.Quick response: Teacher gives them some important verbs, students should say out their Simple Past Tense as quickly as possible.
3.Use every word teacher said to make a sentence.
【设计思路】:完成课本练习题Grammar in Use.再进行快速反应,老师说出一些动词原形,学生快速抢答说出其一般过去时,再由老师指定一名同学利用这个动词的过去式造句,来巩固动词过去式的变化规律。

2.Read the tape scripts, and repeat the words of Part Two.

Step 5 Homework—Writing (about 2 min)
Make a poster about travelling with the title “Why travel ” includes lots of information and pictures. Then present the poster to the class.
【设计思路】:本单元主要内容是谈论旅游,为了增加学习的趣味性,让学生制作“为什么旅行?”的海报,并在全班展出。利用活学活用的方式结束本单元的学习。

五、 教学反思
在本节课结束之后,我将回顾反思,有不足的地方加以改进,对于有效的教学方法进行总结推广。综观整节课的设计思路,是一节复习课,主要通过各种活动来巩固所学,并敏锐观察,发现学生反复出现的问题,并及时加以纠正。本节课的主体为学生,通过学生完成各种活动来完成复习,这样的效果可能要比老师直接带领复习的效果要好。通过这些活动,从听说读写各方面来训练学生,应该会对学生运用语言的能力有所帮助。

Lesson 9:Danny’s School Project

Step 1 Revision (about 5 min)
1. Have diction: Teacher speaks Chinese meanings; students write down the English words and expressions they learnt yesterday.
2. Retelling: Let some students retell the passage of Lesson 8 sentence by sentence and make students try to retell the whole passage together.
【设计思路】:通过听写和复述课文来让学生回顾上节课所学,巩固学习成果。
Step 2 Presentation (about 15 min)
1. Present the new words of this lesson and match the words with the correct meanings.
2. Listen to the tape: The first time, write down the name of the place of interest.
3. Listen again: finish Part One of Let’s Do it. Then check the answers together.
4. Let students try their best to describe the places of interest in English like Danny. Others could add more details about that.
5. Read the conversation together.
6. Ask some students to change all verbs into Simple Past Tense.
【设计思路】:第一遍播放录音,让学生猜出并写下所描述的名胜古迹和动物的名称;第二遍播放时,让学生完成第一道课后练习,加深印象。让有能力的学生尝试回忆Danny对上述事物的描述,并尽力表达出来,其他学生再做补充。之后让学生齐读来巩固。最后让学生将文中的过去时的句子改为一般现在时,将一般现在时的句子改为一般过去时。考察学生对于过去时的掌握情况。
Step 3 Practice (about 17 min)
1. Divide students into 9 groups as usual. Six students are in a group.
Work in groups, and take out the pictures and information they have prepared. Introduce them like above and try to use some new sentence patterns.
2. Invite some students to show their pictures and description.
3. Others correct their mistakes.
4. Work in pairs and make new conversations like the conversation on the book and show.
【设计思路】:学生们小组活动,展示自己带来的图片和资料,向组员们介绍某处名胜古迹或某个喜爱的动物。然后老师邀请几个同学上台做陈述,其他同学猜(猜中小组加分),请其他同学纠正演讲学生的错误。最后两人一组,创造一个和本课课文相似的对话。
Step 4 Summary & Homework (about 3 min)
1. Let some students sum up today’s contents. They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. And they should sum up how to introduce something accurately and clearly.
2. Homework: Write down their introductions about animals and places of interest. And finish the exercises after the passage.
【设计思路】:让学生来总结本节课的内容,有助于检验学生的听课效果,锻炼他们的归纳总结能力。让学生把他们准备的动物和名胜古迹的介绍写下来,不但巩固了自己所学,也有利于培养写作能力。

五、 教学反思
在本节课结束之后,我将对本节课进行反思,对于学生掌握的情况做一总结。对于本节课取得良好效果的活动,记录方法并写明其有效性。对于效果不佳的活动进行反思,寻求改进办法。综观整节课的设计思路,是以口语训练为主要教学任务,通过本文的学习、口头叙述及对话的练习,让学生熟悉如何用英语来介绍事物,这样既锻炼了学生的口头表达能力,又通过各种介绍增加了学生的知识储备。最后让学生把自己准备的介绍落实到书面上,旨在锻炼其写作能力。

3. Give students 1 minute to review the conversations they made yesterday, then invite some pairs to show their conversations.
【设计思路】:通过快速反应及翻译重点句型来让学生回顾上节课所学,并通过对话练习和表演巩固上节课所学句型。
Step 2 Presentation (about 20 min)
1. Divide students into 9 groups as usual. Six students are in a group. And teach the new words of this lesson.
2. Teacher shows Marco Polo’s picture and make students say something about him (Encourage them to try to use English as much as possible). And listen to the tape, and fill in the blanks.
3. Let students read and analyze the passage about Marco Polo and the Silk Road in groups. Translate the passage and try to solve the following questions:
(1). What country did Marco Polo come from
(2). How did he and his brother travel
(3). When did he travel to Peking
(4). How long did his journey last
(5). What did he bring back to his home country
4. Ask some students to answer the questions.
5. Let one of groups translate the passage together.
6. Make students analyze every important points of the passage, especially the Irregular Verbs. Teachers add more details.
7. Group Contest: Let a group sum up the usage of Simple Past Tense. Then, pick up two groups to write the Irregular Verbs on the blackboard as much as they can. Award the first place, and make others read these words after them.

Step 3 Practice (about 8 min)
1. Teacher gives students a similar Chinese passage which about a famous person, and let students translate in groups.
2. Let students translate it sentence by sentence, then try to say out the whole passage.
【设计思路】:老师给学生一篇和本文句型结构一致,介绍名人的汉语文章,让学生小组活动,用英语翻译。让学生一句句展示,最后形成篇章,大家做出这这篇口头作文。

1. Let some students sum up what they have learnt today.
They are expected to sum up the key words, phrases and sentence patterns. And they should sum up how to make a report.
2. Homework: Write down their prepared introduction and finish the exercises after the passage.

五、 教学反思
在本节课结束之后,我将回顾反思,对于设计和实施有出入的地方进行改进。对于有效的地方则要在以后的相应课型中进行推广。综观整节课的设计思路,是以口语训练为主要教学任务,通过本文的学习及口头翻译一篇结构类似的篇章,让学生熟悉如何做课题报告,最后让他们熟练用一般过去时做一个名人事迹的报告,最后再作为作业写下来。利用这种方式,除了让学生更加熟悉动词的一般过去时的变法,更加培养了他们实际运用语言的能力。

一、教学分析
●学生情况:教学对象是七年级学生,他们学习英语有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有较强的求知欲和表现欲,但部分学生存在不自信,羞于表现等思想顾虑,但又希望能得到他人的肯定。新课程理念指出亲自实践、自主探索、合作交流是学生学习的主要方式。因此,在教学活动中尽可能多的让学生参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感;有一些学习困难生由于基础薄弱,缺少丰富的语言基础,对某些任务的完成有一定的难度,教师可采取小组奖励的办法,通过学生间的合作学习,促进小组成员之间的互帮互学,鼓励小组中的优秀成员主动帮助学习困难生,培养学生的团队意识。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,让他们都能体验到成功的喜悦,使各层次的学生都有所收获。

四、教学步骤
Step 1 Revision (about 7 min)
1.Have a diction: Teacher speaks Chinese meanings, and students write down the English words and expressions they learnt before.
2.Check homework: Let some students check the answers of exercises.
3.Let two students introduce a kind of animal and a place of interest.
【设计思路】:通过听写和检查昨天的作业,核对练习题答案来让学生回顾上节课所学,通过学生介绍动物和名胜古迹来检验上节课学生的掌握和运用情况。
Step 2 Presentation (about 18 min)
1.Teacher gives students a riddle about piano and introduces the instrument which she is good at, including when she started to develop this talent and where or how she practiced the talent. And asks what students’ talents are.
2.Listen to the tape to find out Li Ming’s and Wang Mei’s hobbies . While listening, students should write some important information.
3.Listen again and try to tick the correct answers of Part One.
4.Teacher reads the sentences and students say out they are true or false.
5.Read the passage together, and let some students to translate it.
6. Divide students into 9 groups as usual. Six students are in a group. Talk about the grammar focus of the long conversation. Let some students analyze the important points .Teacher adds more details.
【设计思路】:老师给学生出一个谜语,引出老师的兴趣爱好是钢琴.老师介绍自己的特长并简单询问学生的特长或兴趣爱好,然后过渡到今天的主角李明和王梅。第一遍播放录音,让学生边听边简要记录下重点内容;第二遍播放时,让学生完成第一道课后练习,加深印象。再由老师念出课后第二题的句子,由学生来判断正误。上述活动让学生了解了本课对话的大概内容,再通过齐读来加深印象。最后让学生小组活动,讨论文中的语法点。请学生分析本课重要语言点,老师做补充,尤其对动词的过去式和动词变名词的方法做一介绍 eg.play-player。
Step 3 Practice (about 12 min)
1.Group Contest: Try to write the nouns which are from verbs as many as possible. Teacher will award the first place.
2.Work in groups, talk about the things they are good at.
3.Invite some students to make the introductions in the class. And others can ask them some questions.
4.Write down the introductions and correct them in groups.

五、 教学反思
在本节课结束之后,我将对本节课进行反思,总结学生对课程的掌握情况。对于本节课取得良好效果的活动,记录方法并写明其有效性。对于效果不佳的活动进行反思,寻求改进办法。综观整节课的设计思路,是以听力和写作为主要教学任务,通过本文的学习、口头叙述和写作训练,让学生熟悉运用英语介绍自己的特长,并能用准确的语言写出来。这样既锻炼了学生的口头表达能力,又锻炼了学生的写作能力,并培养了学生对于某项活动或乐器的兴趣。

在本节课结束之后,我将回顾反思,有不足的地方加以改进,对于有效的教学方法进行总结推广。综观整节课的设计思路,是以任务型语言教学作为核心,以情景教学法为载体,让学生在所设定的情景中畅所欲言,把知识和技能融为一体,通过听、说、读等活动,让学生自如运用自己所学语言。整个过程立足于学生本身,把学生作为教学的主体,教师从学生“学”的角度设计出各种教学活动,使学生在完成各种任务的过程中逐步形成运用语言的能力。
