Compared with other forms of literature such as the novel, drama, and the short story, what are the characteristics of
poetry
Compared to other forms of literature, poetry tends to be shorter though a poem can be very long. Words are used differently, not in sentences and paragraphs like in novels, but lines and stanzas. Often grammar and punctuation are ignored or used differently. Poetry is more emotional, and the possibilities are much more open than in prose.

1. The poems may not make sense and even seem contradictory，but they are easy to learn and recite.

例如：杰克通过制作爆米花帮助琳达摆脱困境的想法很有道理。

2. Another simple form of poem that amateurs can easily write is the cinquain，which is made up of five lines.
短语:be made up of由......组成=consist of(无被动)=be composed of
make up构成；组成；占；铺床；化妆；弥补；和解；编造
make up for弥补
例如：这个班级由50名学生组成。
The class is made up/consists of/is composed of 50 students.

语言点：why引导的定语从句
当先行词是reasons、factors或者表原因的词时候，用关系副词why引导定语从句，此时相当于for which
注意：如果why前面不是表示原因的词时候，则why引导句子为原因状语从句。

词性变化：sorrowful adj.悲伤的

sorrowful eyes.
Language Points:
5. With these，you can convey a strong picture or a certain mood in just a few words.

be/feel in the/no mood for sth. /to do sth. 有/没有做某事的心情
例如：我心情非常不好以至于我最终崩溃了，用手捂着脸呜咽起来。
I was in a bad mood that I finally broke down,sobbing into my palms.
