Stage Of Lesson Stage Of Lesson Stage Of Lesson Warm-up & Lead in: 1. Divide Ss into two groups . Every time they do a good job, their group will be given one apple, the one who got ten apples first will get a chance to pick an apple from the other team. 2.Listen to the song “Hello” with the question “Which word can you hear the most times ” [purpose] In order to break ice with a happy song in the first class. 3. Then another question “When will you say hello” [purpose] In order to make Ss know when to use hello. 3. The third question “What else can you say when you greet” [purpose] In order to make Ss know when to use hi. 5. The fourth question “After saying hello or hi, what can you do ” [purpose] In order to make Ss know how to introduce themselves 6. Write the title “Unit 1 Hello, I’m Monkey . Lesson 1 ” Presentation: 1. Watch the video of “Just talk” with the question “How many times of hello can you hear ” 2. Watch again and ask “How many times of hi can you hear” [purpose]In older to review “Hello and hi” which they’ve just learnt. 3. Watch again with the question “What’s this girl’s name ” 4. What again with the question ”What’s this boy’s name ” [purpose]Let Ss input as many times as possible by watching and answering , in order to “force” them to remember the sentences. Practice :     1. Play the video one sentence by one sentence , let Ss read after it. [purpose] After four times’ listening, this activity is reading. It’s a changing from input to output. 2. Give Ss two minutes to practice reading it loudly . [purpose] After being taught for a while, Ss should be given time to practice by themselves, because their brain need time to review and remember. Production 1. Let all the Ss read the dialogue – Let boys\girls read it—Let them act it in groups of four. [purpose] The task of output should be done in this order that is from a big organization to a middle one, then personal. Presentation 1. Listen to “Just learn” with two questions “Who’s she Who’s he ” [purpose] 1)Review the sentence “I’m…” 2) Let Ss read the key word of L1 “cat, monkey” 2. Write down two words on the blackboard, meanwhile let Ss spell the letters . [purpose] Ss can memorize these two words better in this way. 3. Use Phonics Approach to spell the words [purpose] Phonics is a useful way to help Ss recite spelling which is the most painful thing for our students. Practice 1. Listen and do actions, I’m going to say the word, meanwhile, Ss will do actions to imitate the animals 2. Let the Ss whose English is good read this two words, while others do the actions. [purpose] 1) Learning new things should begin from input procedure . 2) The class should be students-oriented , so it’s a good way to give them chance to teach. 3. Play the game ”Carrie Says”. [purpose] It’s an output procedure Production 1. Let the Ss write two words in their own exercise books, especially teach them how to write letters in right way. [purpose] To Improvement 1. Ask them “What’s your name ” If they don’t know how to answer, I’m going to answer myself. “My name’s Carrie, how about you ” [purpose] 1) Let them know the meaning of “What’s your name ” and the way to answer. 2) This sentence is the key point of Lesson 2, Ss can preview it in this way. 2. Let Ss chant with a triple-time rhythm .I’ll do an example first ”dong-dong-da,dong-dong-da, What’s your name My name is …” The Ss ought to clap their hands while I’m chanting. [purpose] It’s easier for young learners to say something in certain rhythm, cuz they felt interested in imitating adults. 3. Let Ss chant in this rhythm, then push them do it quicker and quicker. [purpose] Young learner won’t be bored or nervous when doing sth. they like . So that in this way , I can let them practice the Q &A more times and say it more fluently.
