一、教学目标
1、知识技能目标：
a. 能听,说,读,写词汇light, broken, heavy, pocket等
b. 能听懂会说,会读,会认句子This blue one is big and light. It'll be easy for you.
2、能力目标：
能够正确掌握并在创设的情境中描述事物特征并表达自己的看法。
3、情感态度目标：
通过本课的学习，使学生有兴趣听、说英语、描述图片，主动与他人交流。学会与他人合作 。
二、教学重难点? 教学重点：1、单词：light broken heavy pocket?及在句型中的使用。 2、句型：This blue one is big and light. It'll be easy for you. 教学难点：学会用英语描述事物的特征。?

教学过程：
StepⅠ：Warming up
1.?Greetings.
T: Hello! Boys and girls.
Ss: Hello! Miss Zhang!
T: How are you?
Ss: I'm fine, thank you. And you?
T: Me too. Are you ready for our English class?
Ss: Yes!
T: OK! Come on!
2. Sing a song I Can Sing the Rainbow.
Red and yellow and pink and green, Purple and orange and blue. I can sing a rainbow, Sing a rainbow, you can sing one too!?
3. Use the computer to show several famous characters, ask the students to compare and describe them.（复习反义词new --old, big --small, fat--thin, short—tall/long)
StepⅡ Presentation?
1、T: (出示准备好的小包) What is this ??What color is this ? ???Ss: Blue bag.? ???T: Yes. What is this? It’s a pocket.(指着口袋)
然后用一只手掂包教light,之后教This blue bag big and light. It’ll be easy for me.再向书包里装许多书，装作很吃力的样子：T:Oh,so heavy!(拿出单词卡教读)，出示刚才那个包复习pocket,把一支粉笔放进去,可粉笔掉出来了：T：Oh ,what happen ?(给学生看包烂的地方)It’s broken.拿处单词卡教读：It’s broken。
Chant:
Light light light， it’s very light .
Heavy heavy heavy， it’s very heavy .
Broken broken broken, it’s very broken.
Pocket pocket pocket， it’s a pocket.
2、呈现课文
Look at Lingling’s bag. It is broken. So Lingling and Ms Smart go to the supermarket and buy a new one. What will they buy? Why? Let's have a look.
Step Ⅲ New structure learning
1. Listen to the tape and look at the book. Ask and answer the questions.?Then talk with your partner in groups. 1) Why does Ms Smart want to buy Lingling a new bag??
Because Lingling’s bag is broken.? 2) How many bags do they see??
Three.? 3) Why don’t they choose (选择) the black one?
It’s (too) heavy.?
4) Which one do they choose? Why??
They choose the blue one. Because it’s big and light, and it’s got four wheels.
2. Listen again and then finish the following form.

Unit 1 It’s big and light.是外语与研究出版社五年级下册（第六册）第五模块的第一单元。
主要内容是玲玲的包坏了，Ms Smart与她一起去商店买新包，课文中涉及到很多描写事物特征的形容词，着重于颜色的复习和light,broken,heavy，pocket等词的学习及其用法。一、教材分析 学生已经掌握了一些英语单词，有了一定的语言基础。本节课的教学内容是描述事物的特征。这个话题与学生生活密切相关，更能激起学生的学习兴趣。对五年级学生来说，学习英语兴趣的保持尤为重要。二、学情分析知识目标：
能够听、说、读、写本课的重点单词：light, broken, pocket , heavy.

1. 教师评价，生生评价（语言和体态语）
教师评价主要有Very good, well done, you have done a good job, excellent, you are a clever boy/girl.
生生评价中主要从其回答的积极性、流利性、正确性进行评价，以鼓励评价为主。
2. 星级评价（小组PK）：
这两种评价都反映到小组争星中（砺学活动）。因为多数采用鼓励性评价，并且和小组争星活动联系在一起，所以学生大多数能大胆、踊跃、积极发言、表演，收到较好的效果。
Winner课堂评价资源开发1. 生活资源本单元主要讨论出行方式，和学生的生活息息相关，有的学生步行来学校，有的学生骑自行车，有的学生做校车，学生可以根据实际情况运用英语组织对话。
2. 现代技术资源：运用多媒体资源形象生动地反映出行方式，如PPT易于记忆。
