教学目标:
1. 能够正确听、说、朗读What happened Where did you go What did you do 等,询问并回答有关假期去过的地方及做过的事情。
2. 能够理解对话大意,能按照正确的语音、语调及意群朗读对话,并能进行角色表演。
3. 能够正确认读表示地点的名词,如:Mt.Tianshan, Turpan等以及能够在语境中理解生词及词组:fell off, Labour Day, mule, Turpan, could及till 的意思,并能正确发音。
教学重难点:运用句型 Where did you go What did you do 询问并回答有关假期去过的地方及做过的事情, 并在实际情境中灵活运用。。
教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greetings.
2. Free talk.
3. Enjoy the song Tell me about your holiday.
4. Review the phrases. Catch the plane.
(设计意图:通过问候和自由对话,拉近与学生的距离。欣赏歌曲Tell me about your holiday.活跃课堂气氛,为新课作铺垫。通过游戏Catch the plane进行了有意义的.复习巩固,为新课的过渡做出了准备。)
Step 2:Presentation
1. Lead in.
T: You had a great weekend. What did I do on my holiday Here are my photos from my holiday. Where did I go Can you guess If you can’t, you can ask me like this: Where did you go over your holiday
Ss: Where did you go over your holiday
Ask the Ss to read the sentence in groups.
PPTs show the photos from my National Day holiday and the Labour Day holiday. Introduce the photos to the Ss. Lead in the word Mt. and the phrase Labour Day holiday.
2. Teach the new sentences What happened I fell off my bike from my bike and hurt my foot.
Tell the Ss my Labour Day holiday was too bad. Because I saw lots of watermelons but I couldn’t eat them.
1) Lead in the sentence We couldn’t eat them. and They won’t be ready till August.
2)Teach the sentences I fell off my horse and hurt my foot.
Show the picture of John. Lead in the sentence I fell off my bike last Saturday and hurt my foot.
3. Let’s talk. Play the video of Zhang Peng calling John. Then create a situation of visiting John.
Play the video of Let’s talk. Ss watch the video carefully and think about the following questions: 1. What happened 2. Which holiday are they talking about
Ss discuss the questions in pairs or groups. Then check the answers together.
4. Listen to the tape. Try to answer the following questions. 1. Where did John go over the holiday 2. Where did he go Then check the answers. Then introduce Xinjiang.
Play the tape, Ss listen and repeat. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
5. Teach the word Mt. Show the dialog. Mt. and fell off and the sentences What happened and I fell off my bike last Saturday and hurt my foot. It looks like a mule.
Teach the phrases and sentences in different ways.
6. Read the dialog freely and try to answer these questions: 1. Did he go to Turpan 2. Did he eat grapes there Why
Check the answers after reading the dialog.
7. Read the dialog.
Play the tape. Ss read the dialog after the tape, help them pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
(设计意图:通过介绍我的假期的照片,自然引入了本课的重点句型 Where did you go over your holiday?接着通过照片过渡到本课短语和句子的教学,在创设的拟真实的环境中自然的进行了词汇和句子的教学,为对话的教学做出了铺垫。对话教学进行了三个层次了,首先观看短片,讨论并回答两个浅显的问题。接下来听录音,学生自由朗读并讨论并回答4个问题, 最后跟读录音,注意语音语调。)
Step3 Consolidation
1. Have a competition. Cover the key words in the dialog, give them four tasks to finish. Divide the Ss in two groups: boys and girls. Who puts up his or her hands quickly gets the chance. They can read the dialog without the help of the key words. The group who gets the more stars is the winner.
Then let the Ss act the dialog in roles.

Show the content on the Screen. Ss clap their hands and chant together.
(设计意图:将教材对话中的核心句型和词汇挖空,通过这样的游戏方式来操练可以增加学生学习英语的兴趣,增加学生的胆量。自编的Chant,配上节奏,能让学生在朗朗上口的韵律中轻松掌握重点句型。)
Step 4: Extension
1. Talk about your holiday.
Play the video of my two Ss’ dialog. Ss watch carefully, and then work in pairs of groups, share their holiday each other.
2. Write a short passage to describe their holidays. Then discuss in pairs or groups. After that, I ask several Ss to share their holiday in class.
(设计意图:Talk about your holiday环节我用自己录制本班级同学的对话, 给学生带来了真实的交际环境,让学生合作、交流介绍自己的假期,使语言教学生活化。 写出关于假期的小短文,在同桌或组内交流,让学生相互谈论自己的假期生活, 给学生自由发挥的空间,给创造他们语言运用的平台。最后在选几个同学在全班展示, 给学生展示的机会,提高他们的积极性,发挥他们的主动性。)
