前置预学：
读写出下列单词的汉意
Tall short fat thin long short big small
Light heavy easy hard
听读预学课文，按预学要求标划。
3、自由对话准备：同桌带自己喜欢的一个玩具或物品，同桌对话介绍自己的物品。如：
A：Hello，XXX. B：Hello.
A: Look, this is my . It’s .
B: Wow ,it’s nice/...
（提供词汇例句支持。）
课前唱歌，准备同桌对话。
教学过程：
Step1. Free talk
同桌对话介绍自己的物品。如：
A：Hello，XXX. B：Hello.
A: Look, this is my . It’s .
B: Wow ,it’s nice/...
设计意图：1、通过对话检查课前前置作业情况；2、通过描述物品特征的对话，复习相关词汇、语句，为学习课文中决策做准备。
Step2. lead-in
教师说：Spring is coming.Let’s have a look.(观课春天的视频，欣赏春天的美丽，引出野餐的话题。)
The spring is very beautiful.some people will have a picnic. Do you like picnic? So we need some food/ drinks and fruits.How to talk about them and
make a decision?购物是注意一些颜色和实用性，教师进一步告诉学生的需要，可以说：“I want to buy a long and nice skirt .老师告诉学生玲玲要回国了，可她的旅行包坏了，所以Ms Smart要给她买一个，最后他们决定买哪个包了吗？
Step3.Presentation
A 播放录音让学生认真听一听回答问题。
What does Lingling need?
听完第一段，生回答，教师问Why？引出并学习broken.
What does the black bag look like?(黑色的包看起来怎么样？）
学习light和 heavy，以及pocket。并完成表格。
3.Which（哪个） bag do they buy?
B 请学生翻开课本，教师分段播放录音，学生跟读，注意纠正学生的语音语调，教师同时板书重点单词和句型，并讲解课文中出现的形容词的用法。引导学生用形容词来描述事物的特征，教师讲解 We`ll take it .please 这句话，告诉学生在英语中take这个词用法很丰富，这里的意思为 buy 和学生一起回顾take 的其他用法，例如 拿，带领等，请学生注意在英语中有很多这样非常好用的活词，do have get make .
C 请学生合上课本，看着书，听录音，逐句朗读，练习几遍后，学生三人一组进行分角色对话练习，学生要注意体会文中出现的形容词。可以请学生在全班进行模拟购物，鼓励学生添加更多的内容。

同桌讨论本课课本第三部分。
Step6.猜一猜。
根据提示语句猜猜下列物品：香蕉、大象、熊猫、kite

It’s black and white. It’s fat. It likes bamboo.
Step7.Practise in groups
让学生四人一组，分角色朗读课文，并有感情的表演课文，然后分小组上台展示。评出优胜小组。”每个队选出一个组，进行对抗赛看看谁表演的最好，最形象，为本队争取一个小星星。
Step8.Extension
小组内讨论决定野餐带的物品。
Step9 Test in class.
完成配套练习册Module5 一至三题。
Step10.Homework
1、Listen to the tape for twenty minutes .
2、在课下，学生之间用英语描述身边的事物。

课件38张PPT。It’s big and light.wangbinModule5 unit 1 本模块学习事情的决策，但决策是基于对事物的特征的认识的基础上进行的。在三下module2和四下module1、module2中都较为集中的学习如何描述事物的特征。本单元基于上述学习的基础上进行学习的，主要内容是玲玲的包坏了，Ms Smart与她一起去商店买新包，通过这个实例学习如何讨论并决策，培养学生综合运用语言的能力。一、教材分析 学生已经掌握了一些英语单词，有了一定的语言基础。本节课的教学内容是描述事物的特征。这个话题与学生生活密切相关，更能激起学生的学习兴趣。对五年级学生来说，学习英语兴趣的保持尤为重要。二、学情分析知识目标：
