并列复合句

一、并列句
并列句是由并列连词把两个或两个以上平等而又互相独立的成分（简单句）连接而成的句子。
(一) 并列关系的并列句
（1）由and连接的并列句。
and意为“和、又、然后”，用于表示并列、递进、动作的先后等关系。
My favorite subjects are physics and chemistry, and her favorite subject is PE.
I love junk food too, and I eat it two or three times a week.
She did the work and she did it well.

(一) 并列关系的并列句
（2）由not only…but also连接的并列句。
not only…but also…意为“不但…而且…”，重点强调后者。
I not only heard it, but also saw it.
It is not only a wall, but it is also a tourist resort.
(一) 并列关系的并列句
（3）由neither…nor…,neither, nor连接的并列句。
neither…nor…意为“既不…也不…”，neither, nor意为“也不”。这些词置于句首时，句子应倒装。
Neither do I like skating, nor does my sister.
You are not a student, neither/nor am I.
You didn’t finish our homework. Neither/Nor did she.
我不喜欢滑冰，我妹妹也不喜欢。
你不是学生，我也不是学生。
你没有完成家庭作业，她也没完成。
(二) 转折关系的并列句
表示转折关系的并列句常用并列连词but, yet, while等连接。
（1）由but连接的并列句
I hate some chores, too, but I like other chores.
I phoned Sally but she was out.
It is hot in summer here, but it is not cold in winter.
but意为“但是”， 用于表示转折关系，也可以表示对比关系。
（2）由yet连接的并列句
Jane said she was ill, yet I saw her in the street just now.
yet意为“然而”， 相当于but。

(三) 选择关系的并列句
表示选择关系的并列句常用并列连词or, either…or…等连接。
（1）由or连接的并列句
You can watch TV or you can play computer games.
We can go to the zoo or we can go to the park.
or意为“或者”， 表示选择。
3. He must pay the debt or else go to prison.
or意为“否则”“要不然”， 表示条件，也可以用or else或otherwise。
（2）由either…or…连接的并列句
Either he did not speak distantly or I did not hear well.
不是他没讲清楚，就是我没听明白。
either…or…意为“要么…要么…”， “或者…或者…”。

(四) 因果关系的并列句
表示因果关系的并列句常由so, for等连接。
（1）由so连接的并列句
so意为“所以”
I know the place well, so let me be your guide.
The shops were closed so I didn’t get any milk.
（2）由for连接的并列句
for作“因为”讲时，表示讲话人的判断依据，也表示因果关系。
We can’t go for it is raining.
在回答why的问句时，只能用because不能用for。

二、复合句
复合句是指由一个主句和一个或多个从句构成的句子。主句是全句的主体部分，从句则是全句的一个句子成分。从句在句中可以充当主语、宾语、表语、定语、状语等。
What she says is not important.
主语从句
Our teacher’s idea is that we should do our homework right away.
表语从句
I don’t think he’s interested in it.
宾语从句
I met a girl who knew your sister.
定语从句
She can’t come to the meeting because she is ill.
状语从句
三、并列复合句
并列复合句是由并列连词把一个或多个简单句与一个或多个复合句连接起来的句子。也就是说并列句中的两个分句中又内含从句，或者说就是含有复合句的并列句。
（1）由and连接的并列复合句
and意为“和、又、然后”，表示并列关系
Welles was convincing that hundreds of people believed the story, and panic set off across the whole country.
（2）由but连接的并列复合句
but意为“但是”，表示转折关系
I phoned Jane but her mother said that she had gone to the library.
He likes playing soccer, but he said he didn’t play it as well as his brother.
（3）由or连接的并列复合句
or意为“或者”，表示选择关系
Most of us have probably been angry with our friends, parents or teachers. Perhaps they said something you didn’t like, or you felt they were unfair.
（4）由so连接的并列复合句
so意为“所以”，表示因果关系
I want to be a teacher when I’m older, so it would be a great experience for me.
