Wechat (微信) is popular among us, but if someone deletes(删除) you or blocks (屏蔽)you on it, does it mean you’ve made him or her angry
It depends.
Maybe you have just left messages too often without much valuable information. For example, the questions are those like ‘how are u ’ ‘what are u doing ’ ‘do u love me ’ too often. You know, people may feel bored after answering such kinds of questions time after time.
Another possible reason may be that you’ve sent something unpleasant to your friend or in your friend circle. I just blocked one of my middle school classmates yesterday because she was trying to sell fake goods in the friend circle, and I hate it quite much.
Some people delete the one’s name from friends’ list because they no longer want to see it (maybe ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend) and they don’t want the one to see their “Moments” (动态) on WeChat (maybe they publish very private pictures or life or thoughts they don’t want to share with him or her).
So why you are blocked may depend on his or her mood or preference (喜好), and the reasons a person gets blocked are various from person to person. So I suggest you to write an email or make a phone call to that person if he or she really means a lot to you to see why he or she is dissatisfied with you, and to find out how you can make up for the case.
28.From Paragraph 3, we can know if you are blocked that is because ______.
A.you are asking too many boring questions
B.your friend is angry
C.your friend doesn’t like answering questions
D.your friend has no time to reply
29.The underlined word “fake” in the passage probably means ________.
A.令人喜爱的 B.真实的 C.完美的 D.假冒的
30._______ reasons of being deleted or blocked are mentioned in the passage.
A.4 B.2 C.3 D.5
31.Which is the best title for the passage
A.Friend Circle B.Why Are You Blocked
C.A Popular Way of Communication D.How to Make Your Friend Satisfied

Why do Americans struggle with watching their weight, while the French, who consume rich food, continue to stay thin Now a research by Cornell University suggests how life style and decisions about eating may affect weight. Researchers concluded that the French tend to stop eating when they feel full. However, Americans tend to stop when their plate is empty or their favorite TV show is over.
According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, a health expert, the French see eating as an important part of their life style. They enjoy food and therefore spend a fairly long time at the table, while Americans see eating as something to be squeezed between the other daily activities. Mercola believes Americans lose the ability to sense when they are actually full. So they keep eating long after the French would have stopped. In addition, he points out that Americans drive to huge supermarkets to buy canned and frozen foods for the week. The French, instead, tend to shop daily, walking to small shops and farmers’ markets where they have a choice of fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs as well as high-quality meats for each meal.
After a visit to the United States, Mireille Guiliano, author of French Women Don’t Get Fat, decided to write about the importance of knowing when to stop rather than suggesting how to avoid food. Today she continues to stay slim and rarely goes to the gym.
In spite of all these differences, evidence(证据) shows that recent life style changes may be affecting French eating habits. Today the rate of obesity(肥胖) — or extreme overweight — among adults is only 6%. However, as American fast food gains acceptance and the young reject(排斥) older traditions, the obesity rate among French children has reached 17% — and is growing.
32. In what way are the French different from Americans according to Dr. Joseph Mercola
A. They go shopping at supermarkets more frequently.
B. They squeeze eating between the other daily activities.
C. They usually eat too much canned and frozen food.
D. They regard eating as a key part of their life style.
33. This passage talks about the relationship between _________.
A. Americans and the French. B. children and adults.
C. life style and obesity. D. fast food and overweight.
34. This text is mainly developed by__________.
A. making comparisons B. following space order
C. analyzing cause and effect D. following time order
35. Where does this text probably come from _______.
A. A TV interview. B. A food advertisement.
C. A health report. D. A book review.

第二节 (满分25分)
阅读下面材料,割据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
“Surprise!” was the first thing I heard when I opened the door. My family and friends were all smiling at me. There were colorful balloons all over the house, a big poster saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY'', and of course a cake with 12 candles. It was a wonderful feeling. I knew that I had finally turned twelve and I might possibly get the thing I wanted most.
I saw my mom and dad coming towards me with a small box which seemed to be a birthday present. When I opened the box, I couldn't believe my eyes. I had really gotten a mobile phone! Throwing myself into their arms, I let out a cry of joy, “Thank you! I love you guys!”
“You're welcome. We knew this was going to make you happy but we didn't only get you this because you turned twelve, but also because you are doing well in school. We expect you to keep getting good grades."
“Of course I will." I said confidently.
As soon as I got to school the next morning, I was showing off my phone and asking everyone for their number. It was cool how I got so many contacts on the first day.
It felt like I didn't even exist in that class anymore. I wouldn't pay much attention to the teachers because I was too busy on my phone. However, I didn't get caught using it.
I am pretty sure that the teacher did notice that I stopped paying attention to her because a week later we took a test and I failed. What was worse, my mom had to sign the test.
It was hard to show my mom the test. She was used to seeing A's and B's on my tests. Finally, I showed it to her, and she couldn't believe it. She was angry but most of all, she was disappointed.
注意:
1.续写短文的词数应为150左右;

Realizing the reason for my failure, my parents started to dislike the fact that I had a phone. They said they had noticed that I never paid attention to them. It was like I had my own little world. So they thought we didn't communicate as much with my phone. They regretted having given me a phone, which made me ignore the family and study.
Then I started to wonder if I was wrong. A week later I tried going a whole day without a phone and it didn’t go that badly. I had so much fun because I was actually spending time with my family and paying attention to them. From that day, I had a different opinion towards phones. Phones really take you away from the rest of the world. I' m not saying that phones are bad and not to use them, but you do have to spare some time to spend with your family and not get stuck with your phone all day.
