Amusement parks never fail to attract us. There are numerous amusement parks all over the world. A famous magazine, Amusement Today, does a survey among park lovers every year both in the US and overseas, based on which, "Top 5 List of the Best Amusement Parks in the World" has come out as follows:

Disney-MGM Studios, Florida
MGM's streets are the home for some great movie-themed attractions with a history of less than 30 years. With the addition of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, the park is now home to Disney World's most thrilling rides.

Do you still remember the time you start to speak or how you learn to talk Statistics show that most toddlers (刚学走路的小孩) learn how to say about 20 words by 18 months. Talking is easy. If you ask anyone, none will remember how they started doing it, it just comes naturally.
But what might not flow as smoothly as words, is body language. It's a whole different deal when you're using your hands, eyes or head instead of your tongue. And what makes it even more complicated is the fact that body language differs all around the world.
I find it shockingly amazing how just a small finger gesture could mean one thing in the east and the completely opposite in the west. For instance, in Japan bowing is the most common greeting. It shows respect and Japanese pay a lot of attention to the details like the timing, posture and movement. A bow in Japan represents sincerity, respect and graciousness. While in New Zealand Maori, the pressing of noses and foreheads is the traditional greeting. They call it "hongi”, which is regarded as the breath of life.
For most of us, nodding our head up and down often means agreement, but not for the Bulgarians or Greeks. In both cultures, nodding one's head up and down actually means “no”. The American goodbye wave could actually be interpreted (领会) as a “no” in many parts of Europe and Latin America. And the Italian goodbye wave would be understood in America as a “come here” and the American “come here” gesture would actually be seen as an insult (侮辱) in most of Asia.
So before you travel to explore a different culture, make sure you're aware of alternate meanings for body language. We live in a world with many different cultures, so don't forget how differently one hand gesture can be interpreted!
34.What makes body language misunderstood often
A.Its wide uses.
B.The background of different cultures.
C.Its smooth flowing.
D.Its difficulties in understanding.
35.What does the pressing of noses and foreheads mean in New Zealand
A.Breath. B.Respect. C.Greeting. D.Tradition.
36.In which country does nodding mean “no”
A.Greece. B.America. C.New Zealand. D.Japan.
37.What can be a suitable title for the text
A.The Origin of Body Language
B.The Limitation of Culture
C.The Difference of Culture Around the World
D.Body Language Around the World

New inventions come out constantly in modern society to make our life better. Even though using dyes(染料)to develop lenses(镜片)for glasses to correct colorblindness is not novel, these 3D-printed glasses seem to break fresh ground. Researchers at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi have made a very special set of glasses that allows colorblind people to view the world in color. The lenses of the eyewear are printed with a semi-transparent resin, which is mixed with dyes. The result is a set of lenses that can adjust colors according to what the user sees.
There's a wide range of color vision deficiencies (CVDs). The most common type of them is red-green blindness, where people cannot distinguish between both. The 3D-printed eyeglasses help block and distribute the color as the eye sees it, allowing the brain to send better signals to make out the colors. Two different dyes were used during printing — one blocked the undesired wavelengths for red-green patients and the other filtered the unwanted wavelengths for yellow-blue patients. In the test, their eyesight was effectively corrected.
The research team tested their product against other commercially-available solutions. The team found that their glasses were more selective at blocking different shades. Thanks to the customizable(可定制的)nature of 3D printing, the glasses can be adapted and customized to anyone's face shape and degree of colorblindness. 3D printing was also chosen as a means to keep the glasses smooth and comfortable on the wearer's face. However, as 3D-printing ink can be poisonous, the glasses were left to dip in water for a week to test their durability. The team found afterward that there wasn't any leakage of the dyes, proving their permanence and safety.
A pair of 3D-printed glasses may not sound revolutionary, but to some people with colorblindness, they could paint a whole new world in color. They will help colorblind people manage the challenges of their daily activities, making their lives easier.
38. What is the purpose of the 3D-printed glasses
A. To protect eyes from harmful light.
B. To correct students' shortsightedness.
C. To help examine people's eye diseases.
D. To assist colorblind people in making out colors.
39. What does the underlined word "filtered" in Paragraph 2 probably mean
A. Extended.

B. The commercial prospect of the 3D-printed glasses.
C. The inspiration for inventing the 3D-printed glasses.
D. The potential danger of wearing the 3D-printed glasses.
41. In what tone does the author talk about the 3D-printed glasses
A. Sharp.

More and more consumers across the country are using cashless payment methods. The rapid development of third-party mobile payment tools is helping to encourage cashless payments across the country, said Dong Ximiao, a researcher at the Renmin University of China.
Although there were 3.4 hundred million third-party payment accounts in total in China in 2016, China is not the first country to seek a cashless society. Developed states like Sweden, Denmark and Singapore are also seeing that increase.
However, the rapid development of cashless payments does not mean there are no challenges and criticisms. Alibaba's Hema store has come into the spotlight recently. Media reports said that consumers can't buy goods with cash there, which would be considered illegal.
Alipay and WeChat Pay, the nation's two major third-party mobile payment tools, also launched campaigns to encourage more people to use cashless payment methods, which caused concerns over whether cash will soon disappear.
“Some offline sellers refuse to accept cash, which influences the natural circulation(流通)of cash,”said Dong. He stressed that a cashless society would not mean that cash would completely disappear. Also it's important to remember that nearly half of China's population who live in rural areas, especially undeveloped western regions, are unable to enjoy innovation brought by the Internet, Dong said. And when it comes to China's senior citizens, most of them prefer to use cash in their daily lives, he added.
“It's ridiculous(荒谬的)to question digital payment tools' contribution to financial development. In the long term, various payment methods will be used by consumers, and merchants should respect consumers' payment habits, ” Dong noted.
42.What does the underlined word “that” in Paragraph 2 probably refer to
A. Economic activity.
B. A large amount of payment.
C. Cashless payment.
D. Development of economy.
43.Why has Alibaba's Hema store become a focus
A. It fights against illegal activities.
B. Customers are not permitted to use cash there.
C. It provides comprehensive services.
D. It starts campaigns to encourage mobile payment.
44. What is Dong Ximiao's attitude towards the payment in future
A. Various payment methods should be encouraged.
B. The innovation from payment is ridiculous in fact.
C. Cashless payment should be limited in the countryside.
D. Digital payment should replace cash completely.
45.What is the best title of the passage
A. Innovation on the Internet.
B. Cash or Cashless
C. Payment Online Should Replace Cash.
D. Is the Circulation of Cash Dying
第二节 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
The biggest misconception that I've ever heard of is that in order for us to find success in anything, we must be willing to give up something else. 46 .
Over the years, I've come to realize that isn't true. As I grow, I find several things are truly stopping us from living a more fulfilling life. Below are some.
Place limitations on yourself
On the surface, limitations are the things that stop you from achieving something. 47 .You'll keep facing the same problems, forced to make the same choices, and perform the same actions repeatedly. They define your current circumstances and to that extent define your quality of life.
Lack self control
We all have some aspect about ourselves that we don't like. 48 .Maybe you have a large sweet tooth and can't help yourself from eating sweet things. When you lack self control, those habits are going to remain with you until you find some way to remove them.
49 .
Our ability to come up with creative solutions for our problems comes from our ability to learn and adapt. If you're not learning anything, you're not progressing. Leonardo da Vinci once said, "Learning never exhausts the mind. "And I believe it.
Final thoughts
When you get stuck on something, you are never truly stuck. 50 . You don't have to be working hard to overcome that barrier, rather change your thinking in how you're approaching the problem. Give it time and keep working at it.
A. Lack self confidence
B. It means that what you are currently doing isn't enough to get you over the barrier
C. Maybe you're someone who drinks a lot of alcohol or smokes
D. We shouldn't bottle up our own weaknesses
E. Lack learning and adaptability
F. However, limitations are also the things that keep you restricted in the same life cycle
G. Whether it's career or health, one must be sacrificed in order for the other to succeed

参考范文
Life is full of ups and downs and it is never too easy to achieve success. As the English saying goes, "Failure is the mother of success."
I was asked to play in a table tennis match last term. Before the match, I was confident that I would win. However, I failed. How sad I was! Luckily, my PE teacher helped me out. He told me not to lose heart. He also helped me with my skills. With his help, my confidence returned and I came up with several new ideas. The next day, though I had to play against another more skilled boy, I beat him! So don't be afraid of failure. If we can deal with it well. Failure can be the mother of success!
