Hello, everyone. I’m your senior sister, as well as your teacher Shirley’s favorite student. As a graduated student, I have something important to tell you.
First of all, study hard, especially in senior 1 and senior 2. Maybe you’ve heard about that and think it’s just an abstract word like me before, but when coming to senior 3, I just found how important to lay a foundation.
Secondly, when it comes to study, the most important thing must be to follow your teacher. Take an active part in each class, ask questions after class, and even talk to teachers about anything you’re confused with, and they will be glad to help you. I just find a strange phenomenon that those who have a good relationship with teachers always have better grades in this subject.
Thirdly, you must memorize words and do more exercises as long as you want to study English well. Maybe your English is good in junior high, but you have to know that things are quite different in senior high and you have to keep learning.
Last but not the least, keep an optimistic attitude. Don’t regard teachers as monsters. Just take it easy and you will find study is an interesting thing.
All in all, for me, high school life never just means endless study and homework, but more different and new experiences. So just study wisely, then spare some time to create your own unforgettable high school memory. ---- XRH
Dear schoolmates,
I’m so glad to write this letter to you. First of all, congratulations on your success in entering Chengdu No.18 Middle School, and you will have a pleasant but scary three years of high school life here. Now, I will make some suggestions based on my experience.
As we all know, English is a language, so it is essential for us to listen and read aloud when we learn English. In this way, we can cultivate the sense of language, which may help you in the examination. In addition, after finish school work, you’d better participate in various activities organized by the class or school, which enrich your life and promote the friendship between you and your classmates at the same time. The last but not the least, listen to your teachers and follow their steps. You have to believe that besides your parents, teachers are the ones who most want you to get good grades and accompany you the longest in the three years.
Please remember that you have endless potential. Whenever you feel tired, don’t give up. Hope all of you could have a nice high school life.
Yours sincerely,
WYY
