教学课题 第三课时 Conjunction Subordinate Conjunction

教学目标 【知识目标】 Important words: If necessary, unless, so that, although, though, as if, as though, as...as, as follows, rather than. Important sentences: I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to hurt her feeling. Taste the soup and add some salt and pepper if necessary. You’ll miss the match unless you hurry. 【能力目标】 To practice the conjunction. 【情感目标】 Use the conjunction soundly according to their meanings.
教学重难点 重点: usages of conjunction. 难点：common conjunction.
教学过程
◆Step 1 Warming-up and revision (1) Small talk (2) Talk about the conjunction that you’re familiar with, try to make sentences with the conjunction. 设计意图从活动引入，调动课堂气氛，引发学生学习兴趣
◆Step 2 Introduction Ask Ss to look at the board and check the conjunction to see if they know them. Show some examples of how the conjunction work.

◆Step 3 Presentation Before: It will be long time before we meet again. Example: I need to know more about the job ______ I decide whether to apply for it. so B. unless C. or D. before Jane went away ______ I could say goodbye to her. when B. before C. until D. that After: After you finish your homework, come to my office. Since: It’s a long time since we met last. Since you’ve realized your mistake, I forgive you. Because: Because it is late, I have to leave. Example: I didn’t say anything ______ I didn’t want to hurt her feeling. until B. although C. before D. because If: If you come, I’ll tell you. If I knew, I would tell you.
