Sure, it's good to get along well with your teacher because it makes the time you spend in the classroom more pleasant.
And yes, it's good to get along well with your teacher because, in general, it's smart to learn how to get along well with the different types of people you'll meet throughout your life.
In fact, kids who get along well with their teachers not only learn more, but they're more comfortable with asking questions and getting extra help. This makes it easier for them to understand new materials and makes them do their best on tests. When you have this kind of relationship with a teacher, he or she can be someone to turn to with problems, such as problems with learning or school issues (问题).
Here is a question:What if you don't get along with your teachers In fact, teachers want to get along well with you and enjoy seeing you learn. But teachers and students sometimes have personality clashes (个性冲突), which can happen between any two people. If you show your teacher that you want to make the situation better, he or she will probably do everything possible to make that happen. By dealing with a problem like this, you learn something about how to get along with people who are different from you.
However if a certain teacher isn't your favorite, you can still have a successful relationship with him or her especially if you fulfill (履行) your basic responsibilities as a student. Here are some of those responsibilities (责任):
Attend class ready to learn.
Be prepared for class with the right stationery, books, and completed assignments (作业).
Listen when your teacher is talking.
Do your best, whether it's a classroom assignment, homework, or a test.
24.According to the passage, getting along well with your teachers will make you ________.
A.have no problems with study B.have more pleasant time in the classroom
C.get the best scores in the exams D.get a better seat in the classroom
25.The underlined word “that” in the fourth paragraph, refers to “________”.
A.a better relationship between you and your teacher
B.getting along very well with classmates
C.the happy time you have in the classroom
D.the disappearance of personality differences
26.Which of the student responsibilities is NOT mentioned
A. Attend class ready to learn. B. Complete assignments.
C. Listen when your teacher is talking. D. Talk aloud in class.
27.What does the passage mainly talk about
A.The importance of friendship in schools.
B.The importance of a good relationship with your teachers.
C.Studying skills for students.
D.Useful skills to get along well with your teachers.

How often do you talk with someone How often do you find you can't remember his/her words Or, perhaps you get distracted (分心) while he/she is speaking and miss his/her messages. Nowadays, modern life is full of distractions: TVs, radios, telephones, and so on, which can make it difficult to listen attentively.
But how can we listen more effectively John Kabatzin, professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, put forward the idea of mindful(用心的)listening. He said mindfulness means paying attention in a special way, with a purpose, at the present moment and non-judgmentally(不评头论足地).
When we listen mindfully, we many have some difficulties but still remain open to the speaker's ideas and messages. Mindfulness encourages us to focus on the present moment, avoid distractions and ignore physical and emotional reactions(反应)to what people say.
But how can we apply mindful listening to our life John describes three key elements(要素)which can help improve our listening skills.
First, be present. When we listen, focus on the speaker without distractions. Then cultivate the ability to understand others. When we develop it, we can understand a situation from someone else's point of view. Finally, listen to our own “cues”, such as the thoughts, feelings and physical reactions that we have when we feel anxious or angry.
The rule is simple: just “Listen”! Listen carefully and attentively. Pay full attention to the other person, and don't let other thoughts, like what we are going to say next, distract us.
32. What's the purpose of the first paragraph
A. To introduce the topic. B. To raise a question.
C. To show the influence of distractions D. To describe daily situations.
33. What is one of the advantages of mindful listening
A. Making physical and emotional reactions.
B. Sharing messages with the speaker.
C. Stopping distracting thoughts.
D. Making sure of feeling understood.
34. What does the underlined word “it” in paragraph 5 refer to
A. The feeling of trusting others. B. The ability to put yourself in others’ shoes.
C. The ability to help others. D. The behavior of listening to others.
35. What can be the best title for the passage
A. Advantages of Mindful Listening B. Key Elements of Mindful Listening
C. A Research on Mindful Listen D. An Introduction of Mindful Listening

60-year-old Richard Olsen had retired from his work. He was very interested in adventure and hunting. This time he hunted on a sparsely (稀少地) populated land. In the cold winter, he tried a new place and forgot to bring his cell phone, the only time on the trip. He trekked (艰苦跋涉)more than half a mile with two dogs to a harvested wheat field.
Eyes fixed on the horizon in expectation of another rabbit, Richard stepped on the thin snow on a canal (沟渠)。 Suddenly, the snow collapsed (倒塌)and he dropped four feet to the bottom.
Trapped in the canal, Richard couldn’t move at all, his left leg badly hurt. Using his shotgun as a crutch (拐杖),he spent an hour climbing a half canal but slipped and slid back down when he was partly up. This time, one of his feet got stuck between two rocks. Richard told himself that if he didn’t get himself out of that canal, he wasn’t going to have a very good night.
Richard worked his foot free and climbed more slowly and cautiously out of the canal. Richard immediately realized the difficulty of the task before him. The accident occurred about 2 p.m., and it was nearing 5 p.m. with the road far away as the sun was setting.
Richard focused on crawling (爬) to safety. Even with his gun supporting him, hopping (单足跳跃) was impractical. Instead, he sat down and pushed himself backward less than 40 inches at a time with his good leg. He was determined and sure that he must hold on. He was tired out and had more frequent breaks. Temperatures dropped overnight, and snow melted and his gloves and boots got wet. His hands and feet soon were completely numb (失去知觉的).

小作文参考范文:
Dear Linda,
I'm sorry to learn that you are having such a bad time. Actually, most people will feel homesick and anxious when they leave home and come to a new place, especially a foreign country. So don't worry too much.
Here are some tips for you. First, you'd better try to change some of your habits so that you can get used to the new environment as soon as possible. Second, make more new friends, who can share their hobbies and ideas with you. You will feel less homesick with many friends around you. Third, you should take part in some social activities. It will help you learn more about the local customs and cultures.
I hope my advice will be useful.
Yours,
Li Hua
续写:范文
Richard’s dogs had been playing in the field and eventually came up to him. Barking repeatedly and wagging their tails frantically, the two dogs scurried back and forth, seemingly at a total loss what they could do. Suddenly, the boom of a vehicle from a distant road broke the silence and captured their attention. Without any slightest hesitation, the dogs charged desperately to the road, roaring along the way. Seconds seemed to stretch into hours whizzing speeding by and the daylight fading out, a wave of frustration and helplessness gradually swallowed him up.
However, gleams of daylight remained-Richard saw the seventh car. Growling wildly like crazy, the dogs managed to bring the car to a stop and after them rushed the puzzled driver to examine what was in store for him. Hardly had he caught sight of Richard when he realized what had happened. With the assistance of the stunned stranger, Richard was ultimately rescued and rushed to hospital. All the way he stroked the two dogs, proud to be blessed with the loyal companions and feeling the warmth they brought to him in the cold winter.
