一、含义:动词不定式由“to+动词原形”构成,没有人称和数的变化,在句子中不能单独作谓语。也称为非谓语动词,是为了避免简单句中产生两个谓语。动词不定式的肯定形式是“to do sth.”,否定形式是“not to do sth.”。本单元重点学习不定式作宾语的用法。

二、动词不定式的功能
动词不定式具有名词、形容词和副词的特征,因此可以在句中作主语、
宾语、宾语补足语、定语和状语等。
不定式作主语时,通常用it作形式主语,把真正的主语放在后面。
1、动词不定式作主语
1) It is +adj. for/ of sb. to do sth.
for: adj.多为描述不定式行为的特征(important/ necessary / interesting 等.)
of: adj. 多为 描述主语的品质特征(kind / nice / friendly / wise / foolish 等.)
It is easy for her to learn English well.
It is clever of you to solve the problem.

1、动词不定式作主语
2) It is + n. (for sb) to do sth.
It is my pleasure to help you with your English.
It's our duty to clean the room every day.
3) It takes sb. some time to do sth.
It takes me three hours to finish the homework every day.
我每天花去三个小时完成家庭作业。
4) 用在谚语中
(对)To see is to believe. 百闻不比一见。
(错)It is to believe to see.
注意:当不定式作主语的句子中又有一个不定式作表语时,不能用It is…to…的句型 。

2、动词不定式作宾语
1)动词+ to do sth.
常用动词有:
want / wish / like / would like / hope / plan / try / decide / learn
/ need / agree / forget / remember / manage / seem / fail/ manage/ promise等
I hope to finish it tomorrow .
She plans to go and teach in the country.
2)动词+疑问词+to do
动词不定式前可与疑问词 how/what/when/where/which/whose连用,构成动词不定式短语,意为“应该如何做/何时做/何地做/做哪些事……”。在句子里作宾语。

3、动词不定式作宾语补足语
1)动词 + 宾语(sb./sth.) + to do sth.
Mr. Li asked the students to copy the text. 李老师让学生们抄写课文。
The teacher always tells us not to swim in the river.
老师总是告诉我们不要在河里游泳。
常用动词有:ask, tell, allow, want 等

2)动词+宾语+不带to的不定式
动词多为感官动词、使动词。
一感:feel 二听:hear, listen to 三使:make, let, have
四看:see, notice, watch, look at
eg:Did you notice her leave the house 你注意到她离开家了吗?
I saw her get into the car. 我看见她上了车。
His parents make him sweep the floor.他的父母让他扫地。
The teachers often help us (to) solve problems.
老师们经常帮助我们解决问题。
【注意】:动词不定式在help后作宾补时,可带to也可不带to。

主语多为 duty / wish / hope / idea / plan / duty/ dream / work / job
等 名词
His work is to clean the classroom every day.
2)谚语中
To see is to believe. 百闻不如一见。
3)不定式与疑问词who,which, when, how, what 等连用,
在句中起名词作用,可充当表语。
