【探究归纳】:1:hundred百,(1)表示具体“几百”时,用“基数词+hundred”,注意此时hundred不加“s” 如: two hundred books
(2)hundreds of 数百;成百上千的,这时hundred 后有“s”,且后面有介词of,但不能与数词连用。hundreds of people
类似hundred的用法还有:thousand, million, billion等。
2:How far is it from your home to school ?你家离学校有多远?
How far意为“多远”,是用来询问距离或路程的,通常询问距离的句型为“How far is it from A to B ?
其答语多为It’s ...meters/kilometers/miles(away).
3:How long does it take you to get to school?
?how long 意为“多久,多长时间”用来询问某个动作所持续的时间,谓语动词应为延续性动词,答语多为表示一段时间的名词短语。
--How long will you stay there ? --About a week .
?take 表示“花费时间”之意,it 为形式主语,用以替代to get to school 这一动词不定式(真正的主语)其常用句型为“It takes sb some time to do sth” ,意为“某人花多少时间做某事”,注意后面的动词前的to不可丢掉。
例如:It takes her twenty minutes to walk to school every day.
It takes me half an hour to do my homework in the evening.

stop doing sth 停止做某事(没在做另外的事),

stop一般指公共汽车在路上停止、乘客上下车的站点。station一般指始发站。

【探究归纳】:1、For many students ,it is easy to get to school .
本句采用了“It + be + 形容词+ to do sth.”句式,当不定式、动名词或从句在某个句子中作主语时,为保持句子结构前后平衡,避免头重脚轻,常用it作形式主语置于句首,而将真正的主语放在句尾,it只起先行引导作用,本身无词义。
2、There is a very big river between their school and the village .
本句采用There be句型,There be句型可表示“某处存在某物或某人”,
常用结构“There is +单数可数名词/不可数名词 +地点状语。”
“There are +复数名词+地点状语”.
句子的主语是某人或某物, 谓语动词be要与主语的数保持一致。当主语是两个或两个以上的名词时,谓语动词be的数要与它最近的那个名词的数一致。
There is a teacher and many students in our classroom .
There are two boys and a girl under the tree .
3、One 11-year-old boy ,Liangliang,crosses the river every school day .
句中11-year-old 是形容词,意思是“十一岁的”,修饰名词boy.其中的11也可换成其他的基数词,同时year也可根据情况改为month, day等词。
注意:复合形容词中间的名词用单数形式。I think he is a six-year-old boy .

句中like是介词,意思是“像…一样”,作表语。It looks like a cat .
