Facts about diet and nutrition I learn from the text:
Sugar is the killer of health.
Much of the extra sugar comes from sweets and sweet drinks.
Fruit and vegetables are full of vitamins and fibre needed for health.
Processed foods contain less nutrition and have higher quantities of sugar, salt and fat.
Meat, bean or dairy products provide the necessary protein for strong bones and muscle growth.
It takes about 20 minutes from the time you start eating for your brain to tell your body that you are full.
Advice I learn from the text:
Cut down on desserts and cut out sweet drinks.
Keep a balance by consuming different categories of foods, including fresh fruit and vegetables, some meat, beans or dairy products, rather than processed foods.
Eat slowly.
Eat a modest amount of food each time and form consistent eating habit.
Have a healthy attitude towards foods.
