Suddenly Number 25 had the ball and was racing along the sidelines. She moved toward the center of the field, keeping the ball rolling in front of her. She ran past Kelly and around Olivia, and then cut sharply, rushing directly toward the goal.
Casey stood still, and focused on the determined face of her opponent. Number 25 ran between Becca and Lindsay, and then appeared just ten yards from the goal, with nothing but grass between her and Casey.

Flyboarding is an extreme sport. Although this extreme sport does not require the athlete to fall from extreme heights or fly around in special suits, it requires the athlete to perform stunts(特技表演) above the water.
Flyboarders use this special equipment which is not actually a board. It is a simple device made of a long pipe connected to a pair of jet boots and two hand-held stabilizers(稳定器). To get going, the user simply steps into the jet boots and attaches the other end of the pipe to the motor of a powerful Jet Ski. As the Jet Ski starts up, the strong stream of water it creates is directed into the long pipe, which in turn, pushes the athlete at the other end high up into the sky and allows him or her to perform stunts. The two hand-held stabilizers help keep the athlete in control of the flight at all times.
When the water is gone, the Flyboard and the athlete fall back to the water - headfirst, only to rise again with the next powerful stream of water. While it looks and sounds dangerous, the manufacturer (坐产商) makes sure that it is safe to use.
Invented by French Jet Ski Racing champion Frank Zapata, just a year ago, Flyboarding has attracted fans so fast that on October 19th and 20th, 50 eager Flyboarders from 21 countries arrived in Doha, Qatar to compete in the first World Championships.
After the first day of the competition, only 32 were allowed into the second round, a group that was cut down to the top 16, then 8 and then, the final three. While all were good, it- was French Freestyler Stephane Prayas that impressed the judges most with his amazing technical skills. Sweden’s Peter Berglund came in second followed by Trey Andrews from the USA.
In case you are thinking of putting the Flyboard. on your Christmas list, you should be warned that it does cost$6,700 and, the Jet Ski is not included!

I had just looked up this website and was very inspired by all the good deeds that went so

A few days ago, I was in an unfamiliar town that morning. I wasn’t in a very good mood. I
stopped at a common gas station to get gas. When walking up to pay for my gas, I stopped to read a bill on the door, saying, “Please help me attend the Special Olympics this year by donating!” As I walked inside, I saw a lovely young girl with Down Syndrome(智障综合症).She spoke to me very kindly and asked me if I could donate some money to her cause. I replied politely that I didn’t have any cash on me, although secretly I knew I could easily. request cash from the ATM. After paying for my gas, I walked out of the gas station immediately.
As I was walking back to my car, the young girl and some good deeds on the website flashed
through my head again. I felt a little guilty (内疚的 ) and thought that I should have done something for her. Though I had been in a bad mood before, everything seemed to disappear at that moment. (One possible version)
After a group discussion, we conclude that extreme sports have both advantages and disadvantages.
Extreme sports can certainly bring lots of fun and challenges to our life although they are considered a little dangerous. While doing extreme sports we can also enjoy a new kind of experience and have a chance to meet some new friends. Actually, extreme sports offer us a very good chance to build our self-confidence so that we can work better and live a happier life. However, because it is a little dangerous, people may get injured more easily while doing these sports, which may cause lots of worries for their family. Another disadvantage is that extreme sports usually cost much more money so they’re not suitable for the poor people.
(One possible version)
The author tells us what he saw and did at a common gas station. Inspired by the good deeds after surfing the Internet, he finally helped the young disabled girl with his donation.
I speak highly of the author, especially his mental change from refusing the girl to offering his help.
The touching story reminds me of the most terrible Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. During those days, we learned in the newspapers or on TV that there was one rescue after another and many students were in great need of help. Our class immediately took action to collect money and clothing. 4,500 students in our school offered to go to the disaster area to help the students. Within a short time of three days, we finally donated nearly 26,000 yuan and 7,000 articles of clothing.
From the above donation, I have come to understand that we will feel happy and proud of ourselves, if we can do our best to help those people in trouble.
3. D。根据下文...the student 4 the needle in one hole of the first toy. The needle came out from the other ear.
4. A。 可知选A。
5. B。由第一段the second, one hole in one ear and the other one in the mouth 可知,第二个玩具的一只耳朵和嘴巴都有一个洞,因此针从一只耳朵放进去后,会从“嘴巴”出来,故选B。
