表示反射或强调的代词叫做反身代词。可译为“本人”、“本身”,也常译为“亲自”、“自己” 。第一人称、第二人称形容词性物主代词或第三人称人称代词宾格形式,词尾加 self或 selves组成的。其形式如下表:

考向一
作动词宾语或介词宾语

eg: 布莱克夫人本人就是一名律师。
你最好问司机本人。

考向四(易错) 反身代词必须与其所指代的名词或代词形成相互关系,在人称,性和数上保持一致。
eg:孩子们正在公园里玩得很高兴。
考向五 反身代词的常用短语:

Activity 7: Talk about what you can do when you have these problems.

Mary stayed up late last night to study for the math test. She got up late today and ran to school. On her way to school, she saw an old man fall down. Mary shouted for help. Then a taxi driver stopped his car. He and Mary drove the old man to the hospital. So Mary was late for school.
On Sunday evening, Harry was reading a newspaper in the living room. Suddenly, he heard the doorbell ringing. Harry went up to open the door and found his neighbor, Mr. Black, fell badly ill, but her daughter was not strong enough to send him to the hospital. So she wanted to ask Harry for help. Then Harry carried Mr. Black to the nearest hospital. Luckily, he was saved in time. In the end, Mr. Black’s daughter and son thanked Harry again and again.
