2. I think writing is also important. 我认为写作也很重要。
（1）“writing is also important” 是省略了that的宾语从句，作think的宾语。从句中，writing是主语。当动名词(-ing)、不定式(to do)作主语时谓语用单数。
Seeing is believing. (眼见为实)
（2）英语中，当主句的主语是第一人称，谓语动词为think, believe, expect, imagine等动词时，表示否定意义时，要否定主句。翻译时仍要将从句译为否定。如：

3. pairs 两个，一对，一双
in pairs成对的， a pair of一双，一对， two pairs of两双，两对
a pair of后面一般接复数名词，作主语时，谓语动词一般用三单形式。如：

4. look up “查找”，动副词组，宾语为代词时，代词要放在中间。
