1教学目标
1. language objective: the students are able to learn and master the words and sentence patterns
2. skill objective: the students are able to gather related information and write a short description of the living place
3. emotional objective: the students are able to appreciate the beautiful scenery and love the hometown and homeland
2学情分析
The students have studied in senior high for about one month, and they are very interested in English class, therefore, they have more enthusiasm to express themselves. According to the learning situation, I have designed the whole class structure, IPO (Input-Process-Output) model, which gave a lot of chances to enable the students to practice reading and expressing themselves, then writing.
3重点难点
Teaching focus:
How to enable the students to write a brief report of the neighborhood or hometown using the related words and sentence patterns
Teaching difficulties:
How to improve the students’ reading and writing ability

活动1【导入】Pre-task

Group work: discuss about the key sentences and choose one person to write on the blackboard

Prepare for the tour guide show in groups by imitating the dialogue and present.
Group work: one is a guide to introduce the city Dalian. Other 3students are visitors who can ask questions about the city.

Group work: discuss and exchange ideas about the composition, underline the good points and correct some mistakes
