This is a revision class for senior 3 students to revise how to write an article about places, and meanwhile, go over some useful words and expressions in this module.

a. How to improve the students’ ability of proofreading.
b. Check whether the students have mastered the important words and expressions in this module.
2.Teaching difficult points:
How to improve the students’ ability of writing.
Make sure the students can proofread what they’ve written and show their writings in class.

4.1.1教学活动

Teaching Procedure:
Step1 Greeting
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step2 Revision
Do a proofreading task.
Step3 Read and appreciate a short passage about Xiamen.
Underline the useful expressions and words in it.
Step4 Practice for Writing
Make sentences and proofread them if necessary.
Step5 Consolidation for Writing
Show a short video about our Guangyuan city to the students.
Let them introduce our city to strangers.
(5 minutes to write down and then proofread in groups)
Step6 Show time for the students
3-4 students read their introduction in class.
The others try to do evaluations about each.
Step7. Summary and Homework
T: Correct mistakes→ Write correctly→ Higher marks and confidence
Practice makes perfect!
T: Write an article—Welcome to Guangyuan!
