Grammar: Definite and zero articles
Teaching Design
Teaching goals:
1. To master the usages of definite article and zero article
2. To apply them into practice and use them properly.
3. To enhance the team spirits through cooperation and exploration
Teaching procedures:

Step I: Leading in Guessing game: 1.Introduce the topic: definite and zero articles Individual work: Students listen carefully
1.Give students some information to describe two students in the class 2.According to the information, ask students to guess two super scholars in the class (pay attention to the usages of articles) 3.Go to the super scholars and ask for missions (1) Individual work: Students guess the classmates according to the information. And pay attention to the articles in the sentences (2) Group work: Have a short discussion in group and speak out the super scholars and go to them to ask for missions
Step II : knowledge coming 1.Ask the students to discuss and teamwork with their group to pick out the definite article and zero articles in the phrases given (they are supposed to refer to the learning plan closely.) 2.Give some instructions to students if necessary 3. Ask students to check the answers together 4.The teacher introduces some principles to students when using definite and zero articles (1)Group work: Group work to pick out the definite article and zero articles in the phrases The group who finish first can give us the answer and get a reasonable(合理的) mark. (2) Individual work: Students listen carefully and try to understand and remember the grammar rules
Step III: consolidation Ask students to finish some proof reading to consolidate the usages of definite and zero articles. Individual work: Students finish the exercises
Step IV: Cooperation&Exploration (1) Ask the students to work in groups and fill in the blanks on learning plan (2) Each group chooses one student to write their answers on the screen. Group work: (1) Work together to finish the exercises (2) One student of each group write down their answers on the screen.
Step V:Presentation (1) Lead students to look through the passage written on the screen (2) Ask the students to explain their reasons for filling the blanks (1)Individual work: Students listen carefully and check the answers with teacher Students explain why they choose the definite and zero articles.
Step VI: Summary Ask the students to what we have learnt today Express their opinions
StepVII:Homework (1) Ask the students to review the usages of definite article and zero article (2) Watch the micro-class again to review get some detailed explanations about definite and zero articles.. Students to review the usages of definite article and zero article through micro class.
