2学情分析
Ss in Grade One have an active mind. They have different opinions on using the Internet. As they have learned English for many years and
they are familiar with the Internet, they can prepare for the debate well and do well in the debate.
Raise the Ss interest in English by using the multimedia, so the Ss will be active in class.

活动1【导入】computer(复习与导入) (3 minutes)
1、Show the Ss some pictures of parts of a computer and ask the Ss to tell the name of each part in English.
(Purpose: Review some words about a computer which are related to the topic. )
2、T: We can use a computer to surf the Internet (网上冲浪). What can we do on the Internet
The Ss discuss it in groups and then give their answers.
(Purpose: Lead in the topic according to our daily life and improve the Ss’ abilities of speaking and cooperative learning.)
活动2【讲授】 Listening (思) (4 minutes)
Listen to the tape and try to get the topic sentence of each paragraph.

活动3【活动】Careful reading (思) (4 minutes)
1. Fill in the table.
Ask the Ss to read the passage again, then discuss in groups and finally try to fill in the table according to the passage.
(Purpose: Improve the Ss’ ability of grasping main information and cooperative learning. )
2. True or false (Activity 3 on Page 53)
Ask the Ss to do Activity 3 on Page 53. First the Ss discuss in groups and then find six Ss from six groups respectively to give the answers.
(Purpose: Make full use of the textbook. Improve the Ss’ abilities of grasping detailed information and cooperative learning. )
活动4【练习】Practice (思) (3 minutes)
This is a summary of the passage and some words are missed. Ask the Ss to discuss in groups and then fill in the blanks
according to the passage and the words in the parentheses. Find two Ss to write the answers on the blackboard.
(Purpose: Help the Ss to have a general idea of the passage. Improve the Ss’ ability of cooperative learning. Show the two Ss’ handwriting to the whole class and encourage the other Ss to write well.)

Ask the Ss to give a summary of the passage and then the teacher gives a conclusion.
(Purpose: Improve the Ss’ ability of giving a summary)
活动6【活动】 Discussion and debate (议、展、评) (25 minutes)
The six small groups of the whole class are divided into two large groups. One group is the positive side for the advantages of the
Internet and the other group is the negative side for the disadvantages of the Internet. The students discuss in small groups first
and then there is a debate between the two large groups.

Ask the Ss to write a composition of the opinion on using the Internet.
(Purpose: The Ss have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet, so it is easy for them to write a composition, which can improve their abilities of expressing their own opinions and writing.)
