二、【知识点讲解】
1. You could help to clean up the city parks.
1)help作动词,“帮助”。help sb.to do sth.意为:__________________.
如:He often helps me to study English.
2)help作名词,“帮助”。
如:______________________. 谢谢你的帮助。
3) clean up 打扫,清洁。是“动词+副词”结构的动词短语,后面跟名词作宾语时,名词放在up前后均可;跟代词作宾语时,代词应当放在up前面。
2.The girl could volunteer in an after-school study program to teach kids.这个女孩可以志愿在课外活动小组教孩子。
⑴volunteer 动词,意为“志愿做,义务做”,后跟名词,代词或动词不定式作宾语。
eg:Jenny volunteered to clean up the room after party.
⑵volunteer作可数名词,意为“志愿者”。
eg:Can I have a volunteer to collect the glasses
3.They told me stories about the past and how things used to be.他们给我讲过去的生活经历,讲过去是什么样子的。
used to 意为“过去···,曾经···”,后跟动词原形,表示“过去常常做某事”,只表示过去和现在的对比,暗指现在已经不存在的动作或状态。
eg:He used to work in the hospital.
拓展:①be used to do sth 被用于做某事
eg:The book is used to teach us how to write.
②be used to doing sth 习惯于做某事
eg:He is used to eating out all the time.
4.Yeah, a lot of old people are lonely.是呀,许多的老人都很孤独。
lonely作形容词,充当表语,指“孤独的”,用于人时,指一种心理状态,突出内心里感到孤独,寂寞。
eg:He felt very loney without his friends.
辨析:alone与lonely
①alone 作形容词和副词,意为“单独的,独自地”。重在强调单独无伴。相当于by oneself.
eg:I like to read alone.
②lonely 作形容词,意为“孤独的,寂寞的”,是缺少朋友的同情、友谊的一种悲伤、忧郁的感情,指人所处的孤独状态,也可表示某地“荒凉”。
eg:I never feel lonely because I have many friends here.
He went to the lonely mountain village.
5.We should listen to them ang care for them.我们应该倾听他们,并关心他们。
care for表示“照顾,照料”,相当于take care of或look after.

导学1. take after 指的是“(在外貌性格方面)与……像”,不管是名词还是代词只能放在其后。look like“长得像,看起来像”,(只指外表)。be like既指性格像也可指外表像。

导学3. give away 表示“捐赠”,如果宾语是代词,必须把代词放在中间,give it/them away.

导学4. fix up意为“修理;修补”。
区别fix; mend; repair.
fix: “固定;安装;修理” ;
mend“修理;修补” , 一般指衣服,鞋袜,钟表,自行车,电视机;
repair:修理构造较为复杂,损伤较大的机器汽车建筑物.

导学5. be similar to意为“与……类似”; be the same as“与……完全相同”。
