根据第二段最后两句“For example,I don't use the
past tense(时态).I always say,‘I drive him to the office this
morning'instead of‘I drove him to the office this morning’.”可知 Pablo
不会使用过去时,题干中“I go to bed late last night”属于过去时时态错
根据第三段后三句“I live in an area where everyone
speaks my language. My neighbors and friends speak Spanish.I can speak
Spanish in the supermarket and at the post office.”可知,Maria Luisa
根据第四段最后两句“Also,my pronunciation isn't
good.When I speak,people often say,‘What?Say that again’.”
根据第一段中“He loves junk mail, and these ads were
the only reading materials he could find.(他喜欢垃圾邮件,这些广告是他
Today while delivering mail, I saw
a boy reading ads, and he asked me for more mail. In fact, he wants to
go to the library, but his family is very poor and he doesn’t have money
to take the bus.(今天在送邮件的时候,我看到一个男孩在看广告,他问我要
根据第二段中“He asked the boy the reason, and then
shared the story on Facebook.(他问男孩原因,然后在脸书上分享了这个故事)”
The mailman then asked his Facebook friends if they could give
some books to the boy.(然后邮递员问他在 Facebook 上的朋友们是否可以送一
根据第三段“The mailman then asked his Facebook
friends if they could give some books to the boy. He wrote, “Most kids
want computers or mobile phones! But what he wants is books. It’s great
to see his unusual wish, and you may have seen him smile when I said I
could help him!” “He is counting on me,” he said. “So I am counting
根据最后一段“When books first started arriving,
Flores was surprised at what happened. “I thought they were mistaken,
but they indeed were for me.” He says that he can’t wait to share the
books with other kids, and has promised to read every one.(当书刚到的
根据第一段中“Rich and poor, young and old, one can
see them all there, shouting and cheering for one side or the other.(富
根据第二段中“One of the most surprising things about
football in England to a stranger is the great knowledge of the game which
even the smallest boy seems to have.(对于一个陌生人来说,英格兰足球最
根据第三段中“Most schools in England take football
seriously — much more seriously than nearly all European schools, where
lessons are all-important, and games are left for private arrangements.
In England, it is believed that education is not only a matter of filling
a boy’s mind with facts in a classroom . Education also means character
根据第三段中“One of the best ways of training
character is by means of games, especially team games, where the boy has
to learn to work with others for his team, instead of working selfishly
for himself alone.
由第一段中的“The number of weather-related
disasters has increased by five times over the past 50 years, the latest
report by the World Meteorological (气象) Organization (WMO) said on
September.
故选 A项。
由第三段 Petteri Taalas 的话“Weather, climate and
water extremes are increasing and will become more frequent and severe
in many parts of the world as a result of climate change
选 A项。
由最后一段中的“Economic losses are increasing as
exposure increases. But behind the statistics lies a message of hope.
Improved multi-hazard early warning systems have led to a significant
reduction in deaths.
由第一段“The number of weather-related disasters
has increased by five times over the past 50 years, the latest report by
the World Meteorological (气象) Organization (WMO) said on September.
However, thanks to improved early warning systems and disaster
management, the number of death from these hazards has been almost three
times less.

根据上文“On top of

As we all know, over the past years, floods, earthquakes and sandstorms
have happened frequently. Therefore, as an individual, what should we
do when a natural disaster happens Take the earthquake for example.
Relevant measures are as follows.
First of all, we should know the emergency exit of the building in
case we can escape to the open air when we could. Furthermore, it is advised
that we should stay under the solid objects with hands on heads if we cannot
run out. Last but not least, it is necessary for us to learn related
knowledge about all kinds of natural disasters.
Because some natural disasters are caused by human activities, it
is high time that we human did some things to change. Let’s change words
into action!
Para 1.
Mrs. Collins encouraged her to compete for the reading award. With
this kind teacher cheering her on, she gained confidence and language
skills. She made so rapid progress that by mid-year, she was well on her
way to speaking English fluently and had a good grasp of reading. Besides,
she did well in all the other subjects. She came to school early every
day, participated actively in class activities and finished homework on
time. What’s more, she made more and more friends in her class.
Para 2.
The award ceremony was coming up. She worked as hard as she could.
When Mrs. Collins announced Gloria as the winner in front of the whole
class, it was her proudest moment. She immediately took the reading award
right out of that boy’s hot little hands. She felt so happy for herself,
owing her success to her teacher, Mrs. Collins. This served as a motivation
for Gloria who worked even harder in school and earned more “A” grades.

W: Of course. There are only about 1,600 pandas in the wild today.
They can only be found in the cold and rainy forests of western China.

day eating bamboo. They like sleeping, so they are fat and slow. In the
wild, pandas seldom live together. They can live for about 20 years.
M: What is the panda’s enemy
W: The worst enemy of the panda is man. We replace the bamboo forests
with cities and farmland. It’s more and more difficult for the pandas
to find food and a place to be their home.
Text 10
My name is Ellen and I live in a flat in London. I don’t live with
my parents. They’re living in the countryside. An advantage of city life
is having everything you need so close at hand. Living beside the
underground station means I don’t need a car to get around, which saves
me money. I can take the underground to work or go to visit my friends.
Also, there are shopping centers and cinemas everywhere. Of course,
London, like any large city, has its problems, too. Londoners don’t chat
on the train or the bus and there is much less sharing spirit than in the
country, where my parents live. In fact, they don’t understand how I can
put up with the noise and pollution. However, I see that as a small price
to pay. I’m here in the heart of the city. As a famous poet once said,
“He who is tired of London is tired of life.”
