教材分析
Story time板块呈现的是小动物们到学校参观的场景,河马先生边回答小动物的询问边对学校功能室的位置作介绍。学生除了复习巩固本单元核心词汇与句型外,还可以通过图片和上下文理解新句子:It’s time for lunch. I’m full.
教学目标
1. 能够理解运用感叹句 How beautiful!
2. 复习单词 library, music room, gym, computer room, lunch room.
3. 能够掌握句型 “Is this the…?”, “This is the…”
4. 能够在情景中运用句型Welcome to our school! This is the…介绍自己的学校
5. 培养热爱校园的思想感情。
6. 通过小组活动,培养学生的团队合作能力。

重点: 能够在情景中综合运用所学句型介绍自己的学校。

教学过程
Step 1: Lead in
1. Sing a song

Step 2 Presentation
1. Two questions to predict the whole story.
T: Today we will go to visit another school.
Show the first picture of the story. (Mr. Hippo or Zoom ).
Q1: Whose school will we go
After Ss’ guessing, show the words of the Mr Hippo (Welcome to our school. This way, please.)and guide Ss know that we will visit Mr Hippo’s school.
T: Yes. Mr Hippo is the guide, Zoom and Zip are the visitors.(板书)
Teacher takes out the little flag to explain the word guide.

Gym and Lunch part:
T: Let’s move on.

Teachers’ office part:
T:The door is half-opened. But we can see computers.

T: Hey! Boys and girls. Do you remember what places they visit.
Teacher complete the visit route on the blackboard.
T: Good. It is A Visit to Mr Hippo’s School.
4. Watch the story with two questions.
T: Let’s watch the story and learn how to be a guide. Pay attention to the two questions.

Create a scene: To be the school guide
Show a photo and a poster.

Group work:
