What would it be like to be blind or deaf Or imagine you can’t walk or use your hands easily. Most people would never think about this, but many people have these difficulties. I can’t use my arms or legs well, so normal things like answering the telephone, opening and closing doors, or carrying things are difficult for me. Then one day last year, a friend of mine helped me out. She talked to Animal Helpers about getting me a special trained dog. She also thought a dog might cheer me up. I love animals and I was excited about the idea of having a dog.

该结构中it作形式宾语,真正的宾语是后面的动词不定式短语。常用在动词find, think, make, consider, feel 等之后。固定句型:主+ find/think/make it + adj. + (for sb.) + to do……“发现/认为/使得做某事……”。
eg:I think it necessary for us to have a good rest after the boring work.
我认为对我们来说,在烦闷的工作之后好好休息是有必要的。
She felt it her duty to help the old man. 她觉得帮助这个老人是她的责任。

imagine动词,意为“想象;设想”,其后可接名词、代词、动名词或宾语从句。imagine that / what从句,后接that或what引导的宾语从句。imagine (sb/sb’s) doing sth. 想象(某人)做某事。imagine sb./ sth. (to be) adj.;imagine sb./ sth.+ as + n. / prep. 后接复合宾语,即宾语+宾语补足语,宾语补足语通常是由不定式(to be)加形容词或as加名词构成的。
eg:You can imagine the situation there. 你可以想象那里的情况。
I can't imagine what he looks like.我想象不出他是什么长相。
I can’t imagine walking all the way to the North Pole. 我无法想象怎样一路走到北极去。
Don't imagine yourself to be always correct. 不要以为自己总是对的。

【易混辨析】 carry, take, bring与get
carry 拿; 提; 扛 没有方向性,具有负重的含义,表示搬运;携带。
take 拿走; 带走 指把人或物从说话者所在的地方带到别处。有方向性。
bring 拿来; 带来 指把人或物从别的地方带到说话者所在的地方。有方向性
get 去取; 去拿 指到某地去把某人或某物带来或拿来。表示来回。
eg:He was carrying a big bag. 他提着一个大袋子。

这是一个固定短语,后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。be excited about doing sth. = be excited to do sth. 意为“做某事感到兴奋”。
eg:Are you excited about the new work place 你对新工作场所感到兴奋吗?
Jack was excited about traveling there by plane.(= Jack was excited to travel there by plane.) 杰克坐飞机去那里旅行很兴奋。
-ed形式的形容词,一般用来形容人的感受,表示“感到……的”,主语通常是人。-ing形式的形容词,一般用来形容事或物本身具有的性质,也可表示某物让人具有的某种感觉,表示“令人……的”,主语通常是物。
excited 表示“感到兴奋的”,常用来修饰人。
exciting 表示”令人兴奋的“,常用来说明事物。
