You may not realize it, but you are doing much more than just studying when you are at school. School is also the place where you learn to get on well with people. But this is not always easy. What can you do if you just don't like one of your classmates
If you discover that you have problems getting on with your classmates or friends, the most important thing to learn is tolerance(宽容). Tolerance is the ability to realize and respect the differences in others. We can not change the way that other people do, so it is important to learn to live happily with them.
Tolerance will make everyone get on better with each other. Getting to know someone may help you understand why they do things differently. Something different does not exactly mean that it is bad. Tolerance teaches us to keep a temperate and open mind.
You need to remember an old saying, "Treat others how you want to be treated". If you tolerate something, it does not mean that you have to like it. No one is asking you to change who you are or what you believe in. Tolerance just means that you should respect the differences in others and not try to make them change.
It is important to practice tolerance, because it will make everyone's life easier. Learn to accept people for their different abilities and interests. The world is very different, and practicing tolerance in your own school and city can help make a difference.

What are the basic ingredients (要素) of good manners A strong sense of fairness is one of them.

A friend once told me an experience that he had. When he was driving along a one-lane (单行小路), unpaved (未铺路的) mountain road, the car ahead of his produced clouds of choking dust (呛人的尘土), and it was a long way to the nearest paved main road. Suddenly, the car ahead stopped at a wider place on the road.
My friend thought there must be something wrong with the car ahead. He stopped and asked if anything was wrong. "No," said the other driver. "But you've endured my dust so far. I'll endure yours the rest of the way."
Another ingredient is empathy (同情心). It makes a person see into the mind or heart of someone else. Recently I happened to read such a story in a book.
A man was having dinner alone, and he was trying to open a bottle. But he failed. Then he asked a waiter for help. The waiter took the bottle, turned his back and opened it without difficulty. Then the waiter closed it again and turned back. He pretended (假装) to make a great effort to open the bottle without success. Finally he took it into the kitchen and returned very soon. He told the man that he managed to open it, but only with a tool.
Yet another ingredient is the ability to treat people alike (一视同仁). No matter who he is and what he does, everyone is worth respecting.

In Russia if you give flowers as presents, you have to give an odd number of them (one, three, five, etc.) because even numbers of flowers are for funerals.
In Germany if you are invited to dinner, a bunch of flowers is a good present to take to your dinner hostess (女主人), but don't take her red roses because it means you are in love with her. Having one of those days or weeks—when everything seems to make you angry Even if you do nothing about it, your bad mood(情绪)will probably go away after some time. But with a little effort, you can forget it much faster—often within a day or two.
Walk it off
Taking a fast ten-minute walk, or doing some quick exercises can help change the bad mood.
Turn it out
Listening to your favourite music for a while can also be very helpful because music makes us think of the happy experiences we ve had.
Give yourself a pen talk
Stop and listen to what s in your mind. Bad moods are often started by too many negative(消极的)thoughts. Write them all down on paper and then give optimistic(乐观的)answers.
Reduce(减少)your pressure
Relax yourself. Deep breathe, and imagine. One easy way to imagine: close your eyes and picture a favourite place, such as the beach. Another simple way to deal with your bad mood is to make a to-do list. One reason for being in a bad mood is feeling you can t change anything. By controlling some areas, you realise you re not helpless. You can make changes in your mood and life.
Keep away from those that won t improve your mood
You need to make yourself more active. But remember that TV shows may not help much. And before you reach for that piece of cake and coffee, think about how mood and food are related. Sugar and coffee make moods worse.

But do you know it is far from native(地道的) English In fact, foreigners from English-speaking countries seldom use the letters.

When talking about picking a right school,a mother and teacher gave some pieces of advice.
In the latest issue (期) of Youth magazine, the mother shared the school advice she gave her daughters with young people across the country.
“I’ve told my daughters many times that I don’t want them to choose a name,”the mother said.“I don’t want them to think,‘Oh,I should go to these top schools.’We live in a country with hundreds of excellent universities. So the first question is:what’s going to work for me?”
“When it was time to prepare for picking schools, nobody around me believed I could get into Xiamen University. But through hard work I finally made it,”she continued.“So,my second piece of advice is:believe in yourself,no matter what other people might say.Once your goal is set,you only need to try your best to make it come true.”
