Students are not familiar with authentic literary works, thus feeling it daunted to read the passage of this module, which sets some obstacles for
the teacher. However, they may take delight in the topic of fantasy. Therefore, the teacher should spare no effort to arouse their interest in
fantasy literature.

1. Students will be able to grasp the basic elements of describing the appearance and movement of a creature by appreciating fabulous literary writing on appearance description.
2. Students will cultivate their ability to cooperate with peers to develop conversation, team working spirit and creative thinking.
They are also encouraged to try their best, work with their partner to make their own version of narration for the movie clip and help to polish and perfect it.

Students will try to find the detailed information that can describe the appearance of the Faun.
Then, the teacher will build up the word tower of the Faun’s appearance to help the students to classify the new words and thereby arouse their interests of learning and using new words.

1. Writing on the Basis of Word Tower
Students are asked to write an appearance depiction for the cat whose name is Puss in class. While before their writing, they will learn more words about the description of cat through the word tower of the appearance of a cat.
2. Comparing and Appreciating Writing Pieces
After exchanging depictions with their partners, the students are inspired to make comparison among two of the peers' works
and two writing samples written by the teacher. Through analyzing and appreciating the works, they will grasp not only the elements of appearance depiction but also the exquisite use of rhetoric such as simile and personification.

The teacher will narrate for the movie clip of Extract from The lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe herself to show the narration process.
Then, a video clip from a famous fantasy movie Shrek will be played. The students will be given several minutes to work in two for the preparation of the narration concerning creature’s bodily movement and display their performance on scene.
