Lesson 12 Danny’s Plant
教学目标：
1.掌握单词:agriculture, seed, pot, sprout, stem, ,carefully, yard, seed短语:at the top of, a flower bud, look after, raise animals, turn into.
2.了解如何描述植物生长的句型:I gave it plenty of water. Soon, it grew a stem and a leaf. It will open up and turn into a flower.
3.了解日记的正确写法。
4.了解植物的生长过程，并让学生懂得植物的重要性，热爱生活，热爱大自然。
教学重难点：
1.正确使用一些与植物生长有关的词:seed,sprout,grow,open,head,turn
2.正确运用所学知识介绍植物生长的情况。
3.掌握以下重点句子:Agriculture is all about growing plants and raising animals for food. To learn more about plants, we planted some seeds. It will open up and turn into a flower. I’ll send some seeds to Li Ming.
教学思路
本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第二单元的第六课时,主要涉及植物生长的介绍。在授课之前先让学生通过网络介绍或者找园艺师了解植物生长的具体过程。课上可以通过幻灯片、图片、课文内容，串讲单词让学生了解植物生长的过程,然后小组讨论设置好的问题，进一步加深对课文内容的掌握，最后小组讨论写作“Plants are important”并展示，从而让学生学一学种花,学一学园艺,懂得植物的重要性，保护环境，热爱生活,热爱大自然。
