教 一、教材依据: Unit 3 :Animals are Our Friends
Lesson 15 :The Zoo is Open
教二、教材分析:
本单元的主要话题是谈论动物,此课为本单元的第三节课,在地位上起着承上启下的作用。主要讲述Danny, Jenny and Brian 去动物园的计划,教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交流和交际,通过学习使学生提高保护动物和保护大自然的意识 。
三、学情分析:
本课的教学对象为八年级学生,在设计教学过程中,抓住学生感兴趣的话题、利用图片,视频等网络资源,通过discussing,group work等环节将知识融入到活动中,让学生说有回报,比有收获。开放教学思想,在教学中给每个学生以重要感和成就感。
四、教学目标:
1、知识目标 ( Knowledge Objects ):
(1).掌握本课的单词danger and dangerous;
(2).掌握短语和句型:instead of;go through.
(3).学习如何用英语谈论动物园
2、能力目标( Ability Objects ):
通过对Are animals happy to live in the zoo 的讨论,进一步提高学生的 英语运用能力及合作精神。
  3、情感目标( Moral Object ):
通过教学使学生懂得爱护动物,珍惜生命从而树立环保意识保持生态平衡。

The Teaching Methods

七、教学过程
Step 1.Leading-in
Playing a guessing game about animals, then show them some pictures of animals to lead into the topic--The zoo is open.
Step 2.New Words and Expressions
Learn the new words by using them in sentences.
New Words: bamboo, mainly, dangerous, danger.
Step 3.Listening
Let the students listen to the text and tick the correct answers of the questions on the screen.
Step 4.Reading
Divide the class into small groups ,and make them read the text in different roles, then answer the follow questions:
1. Why can’t we take photos at the zoo
2. Is there any pandas at the Edmonton Zoo Why
3. What suggestions does Jenny give Danny at the end of the lesson
Later,ask the students to discuss “What rules should we obey at the zoo ” in groups.
Step 5.Language Points
1.They go through the entrance and see a sign.他们通过路口看到一个标志。
through 介词,意思是“穿过”
across 从表面通过/ through 从里面或中心穿过,尤指森林,人群等
eg: I walked across the square to the museum. 我走过广场到达博物馆。
We walked through the forest. 我们穿过森林。
2. Maybe the pandas could eat some grass instead of bamboo.
也许熊猫可以吃些草来代替竹子。
instead of作为介词短语,意为“代替”,后面常接名词、代词和V-ing形式
eg:If I hadn’t got a cold, I’d be working instead of lying here in bed.
如果我没有感冒,我就会一直工作,而不是躺在床上。
Step 6.Challenging Time
Ask the students to choose different scores standing for different topics. This part can make students review what they have learned in class.
Step 7.Dig in
1.Have a discussion
“Are animals happy to live in the zoo ”
2. Watch a video about animals which are dying out,and have a talk with your group members about “What should we do to protect animals from going extinct ”
Let students read together “Animals are our friends, we should love them and protect them.”
Step 8.Summary
1. Review the new words and expressions
bamboo,mainly, giraffe,dangerous, danger;
go through, instead of.
2.At the same time, they need to know animals are our friends and we should love animals in our daily life.
Step 9. Homework
分层作业:No 1.2: retell the text.(复述课文)
No 3.4: recite the new words and phrases . (背会新单词和短语)

九、教学反思
通过本课课堂教学,我有如下反思:首先,本节课较好地完成了原定的教学目标,让学生熟练掌握了本课的单词和语法,课堂形式多样,极好地激发了学生的学习兴趣,内容环节设计合理,课堂节奏较为紧凑;不足之处是内容稍多,时间稍长;课件设置超链接和视频播放格式与班级电脑不相匹配,如能提前试播便能早发现。
