教学 目标 知识与技能 a. To learn about some vocabulary and knowledge related to music. b. To catch the general idea of the whole passage. c. To understand the affection of the author. d. To be good at grasping the key words and recognizing the new words according to the context.
过程与方法 To develop their love and interests in music by knowing more about some musicians.
情感目标 a. Cultivate their awareness of music and the sense of pride to the motherland. b. To encourage the Ss to be active and cooperative in the class c. Appreciate the true beauty of Chinese music.
教学模式 a. Task-based methodology b. Communicative Approach
重点 a. Make the students grasp the content of the test thoroughly b. Finish the reading exercises correctly.
难点 a. To develop their reading abilities and the awareness of the appreciation. b. Help the students understand the text exactly and retell the text in students’ own words.

新课导入： 展示图片，播放音乐 向学生展示图片，播放音乐，在欣赏音乐的同时，让学生说出音乐的类型以及乐器的种类。 导课的目的在于引出本节课的话题，激发学生的学习兴趣，从而增加学生的音乐知识，提高学生的音乐鉴赏力。
正课讲授： Step 1:Fast-reading Ask the students to read through the text quickly and find out the information about Liu Fang 让学生快速浏览文章，找出关于刘芳的信息，并填写表格 快速阅读，理解本文的大概内容，找出主人公的基本信息，了解主人公的音乐背景，感知主人公热爱传统音乐之情。
Step 2Reading and Discussion Ask the Ss to read part 1 of the passage and explain the following references. 1．...during her visit to China. Who visited China 2．...each one has its special way of interpreting the classical pieces. Each what 3．The same is true of my second instrument. What is true about the second instrument 让学生阅读课文，自主探究，小组合作，回答问题，完成相关的练习。活跃课堂气氛，把课堂还给学生 精析课文，通过设置问答，选择等活动，分析文章的三个段落及其细节，使学生了解中国传统音乐的特点，了解音乐在人们的文化生活中所起的作用，从而培养学生对音乐的兴趣爱好，达到美育的目的
Step3 group work Ask one student to make a conclusion regarding his or her ambition, the challenges he will face and get preparation。 小组活动： 让学生用英语自由的讨论关于对梦想的设立，实现与做的准备。 通过与同学交谈与讨论了解他们对音乐的看法，并和自己的想法进行比较，从而了解发展自己对音乐的爱好，培养自己的音乐素养，使音乐更好的渗透到我们的日常生活中，使美育渗透到我们的学习生活中。
课堂小结 教师对本课的内容扩展延伸，对课后学生的总结反思进行指导。 评价学生掌握情况
