Is: link verb (系动词)
Chai Jing: predicative(表语)
What kind of verbs can serve as link verbs (系动词)
1. 状态: be( am, is, are, was, were).
2. 变化: become, grow, turn, fall, get, go, come, run, etc.
3. 感官: 眼(look) , 耳(sound), 鼻(smell), 舌(taste), 身(feel), etc.
4. 表像: seem, appear, look, etc.
5. 延续: remain, stay , keep, etc.
6. 终止: prove, turn out , etc.
