Teaching aims and learning objectives 教学目标
1. 在课前阅读绘本Signs are everywhere的基础上，通过教师教授和学生小组合作学习，学生能听懂、会读、会说road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow，能体会情态动词must及其否定must not的含义与用法。
2. 通过教师教授和小组合作学习，学生能在情境中能整体理解并能正确朗读Story time的内容。
3. 通过教师指导和小组合作学习，学生能理解道路安全知识，尝试用英语说出交通规则，并尝试结合绘本丰富自己的语言表达。
4. 通过对比、思考和讨论，学生能牢记过马路的交通规则，树立安全意识，真正做一名遵守交规的社会公民。
Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty 教学重点和难点
教学重点：
1. 学生在Story time的学习过程中能掌握有关道路交通方面的新词road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow, must, safety, safely。
2. 学生能理解道路安全知识，尝试用英语说出道路交通规则。
教学难点：
1. 体会情态动词must及其否定must not的用法。
2. 以学生已知为出发点，Story time为基础，绘本Signs are everywhere为生长点，教师帮助学生丰富可输出的语言，让表达更真实。

Step 1 Greeting and Free talk
T:Hello, boys and girls.

T: It is getting warmer and warmer, because spring is here.
Step 2 Pre -reading
1.Lead-in
When you heard this word “spring”, what comes into your mind
You can say anything about spring.

S:Trees/Flowers/Fly kites/Go boating...
T: You have good imagination!
2.Game: Brainstorm
T: This is a game called Brainstorm. Do you like this game
Would you like to play again

I’ll show you two pictures. Please say sth about the pictures as quickly as you can.
Remember：Only 30 seconds; No repetition

These are pavements. They are for pedestrains/walkers.

Step 3 While -reading (Story time)
1.Look and say
T: Everyday we walk on the road.
Please look at the pictures from Story time.
Think about this: What is the story going to tell us

T: There are many busy roads in our city. Some of them have zebra crossings and traffic lights. Some of them don’t. How can you cross them safely

S:To keep safe, we can wait on the pavement and look out for cars and bikes.

You must first look left, then right and then left again. Why
Before this, we have to know how do cars go on the road.

From the story we know how to cross the road on the zebra crossing / how to cross the road with no zebra crossing/how to stay safe on the road

When we talked about traffic rules, we always use “must” or “must not”.
