根据短文内容。判断句子正(T)误(F)。
With labels (标签) such as “zero sugar, zero fat, zero calories”, some diet drinks (低糖饮料) have been placed in places that are easily seen in supermarkets. But how do these drinks taste sweet without sugar
One of China’s most popular drink brands, Genki Forest, apologized (道歉) on April 10 for deceptively (欺骗地) advertising its products as having no sugar. In a statement, the fast-growing company said that the difference between “sugar-free” and “sucrose-free (无蔗糖)”was not well explained in the product packaging, leading to a “misunderstanding”.
Now the company has changed the words from “sugar-free” to “low sugar” on the bottles. But many internet users don’t buy the apology and feel like they’ve been tricked into putting on weight.
In fact, there are many kinds of sugar. Sucrose is just one of them. Other kinds of sugar, such as fructose (果糖) and sugar alcohol (糖醇), are still in Genki Forest drinks. These types of sugars offer little energy, but a small amount of them can make drinks taste sweet. That’s why diet drinks like Genki Forest are popular among people who want to lose weight.
However, these sweeteners (甜味剂) might make people eat more. When you eat sweet-tasting things, it sends your brain a “sweet signal”, which then tells your body to prepare itself to take in energy. But since diet soft drinks have little energy, the brain will not receive what it is expecting. In this situation, you will feel hungry and start eating more food to get energy.
According to China Daily, drinking too many diet drinks might lead to getting fat and Type 2 diabetes (糖尿病). Compared with sugar-sweetened drinks, zero-calorie sweet drinks are helpful for preventing from being overweight, but compared with water, diet drinks are not that healthy.
1.As the No.1 drink brand in China, Genki Forest was sorry for deceptively advertising its products on April 10.
2.To correct its mistake, the company has changed the words from “low sugar” to “sugar-free” on the bottles.
3.Fructose and sugar alcohol offer little energy, but a small amount of them can make drinks taste sweet.
4.When you eat something sweet, your brain will get a “sweet signal” which makes you take in some energy.
5.Water is considered to be healthier than diet drinks.

And according to them, my hair should be shorter, my room should be neater (整洁), and my friends should be more polite when they come to visit. You know it isn’t easy to be a teenager.
Parents: We try to be good parents, but no matter how hard we try, our children never seem to be satisfied. They think we should wear more fashionable clothes, buy a faster car, and listen to more interesting music. And according to them, we should be more sympathetic (富有同情心的) when they talk about their problems, we should be more friendly when their friends come to visit, and we should be more understanding when they come back late from a Saturday night party. She took another look at it. “It’s not a beauty mark. I want it off,” she said with tears.
“Each of us is born with special marks. Some of them can be seen and some of them are invisible.”
“What kind of mark is invisible ” she asked.
“Well...a mark of kindness, even the mark of a loving heart. We can’t see them. but they are very special marks.”
“Why can’t mine all be invisible ” she asked.
“I can see many of your special marks, such as the color of your eyes, the shape of your nose and the smile on your face. Nobody else in the whole world has those exact things. Only you. Special marks inside and outside, are the things that make each of us different and special people.”
She couldn’t understand my words completely, but she stopped crying. The next morning, Grace ran into the kitchen. She jumped into my husband’s lap. “I have a beauty mark. Want to see it ”

In the year of 2020, China’s Ministry of Education began to ask all public schools to teach students first aid(急救) especially CPR as part of children’s health education. There are as many as 550,000 sudden cardiac(心脏的) deaths in China every year. About 60% of these deaths happen outside hospitals and the survival rate(存活率) of a patient who received the CPR outside hospital is less than 4.5% in China, compared with about 47.5% in developed countries.
In November 2019, in Taiwan Province, 35-year-old model-actor Godfrey Gao died after he suddenly fell while filming a reality show. He was rushed to the hospital and died from sudden cardiac arrest(骤停) after being rescued for nearly three hours. His death aroused(引起) a heated discussion.
Sudden cardiac death is increasing year by year due to many reasons. CPR is one of the first and most effective ways of treating cardiac arrest, according to medical experts. Most patients will begin to develop brain in damage(损伤) within four to six minutes after cardiac arrest, and then biological death within a few minutes. However, in China, besides medical workers if people who have received first aid training is only about 1% of the public.
As early as 1966, the US has advised the public to receive CPR training, including police officers, drivers, firefighters, teachers and students of colleges and high schools. In Europe, Switzerland requires all citizens(公民) to be trained in first aid, including CPR. And in Germany, every citizen must be trained before getting their driver’s license, which means about 80% of the country has received first aid training. 40% of people in France are also trained in first aid.
According to Guo Malong, a doctor in Henan, a CPR lesson can be completed in anything from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on what’s included. Basic first aid lessons can be completed in just 30 minutes, which don’t cost students too much time, but will make a huge difference to others.

The Sahara is the largest desert in the world. It has one of the most terrible environments on the earth. It covers an area of about 600, 000 square kilometers. This is nearly the whole size of the United States.
The huge desert spans(横跨)11 countries. So it has many different land features(地貌特征). The most famous and beautiful one is the golden sand dune fields(沙丘地). Other land features include mountains, plateaus(高原)and so on. Some of the mountains have snow in winter. Thousands of years ago, the Sahara was not a desert at all. There were many plants and rivers. As the weather changed, it became hot and dry. Although the natural conditions are terrible, there are many plants and animals like snakes, foxes and birds living there. In some places, people grow fruit. Plants can grow there because their roots(根)can reach deep underground to get water.
More than 2,000,000 people live in the Sahara. Some of them move around from place to place with their camels. Others live in towns and cities. Camels are known as the “ships of the desert”. They can travel more than a week without water or food in the desert.

Is there a way to quickly recall information just before taking an exam Walking backwards might be a solution. Scientists from the University of Roehampton in the UK said this activity can help people improve their short-term memory.
Researchers asked 114 volunteers to watch a video. After watching the video, participants were divided into three groups. One group was told to walk 10 meters forward. The second group walked 10 meters backward. The third group stood in one place. All three groups were then asked 20 questions about what they saw in the video.
The scientists found that the backward-walking group got two more answers correct on average than the other two groups.
This suggests that the link between the concepts ( 概念 ) of time and space is important in terms of ( 就……而言) how our minds form memories. “Time is really expressed through space,”
Aleksandar Aksentijevic, who led the study, told the Daily Mail. When you walk backward, you see things from a different angle ( 度 ) compared to walking forward. This difference helps people recall things that happened in the past.
And walking backward is not just good for the brain. It is also good for the rest of the body. Compared to walking forward, walking backward is more challenging. This can help us improve our health, says New Scientist. Walking backward uses more energy in a short time and burns more calories (卡路里).
In addition, walking backward is less stressful for our knees. It could be helpful for people who often have pain in their knees, according to researchers from the University of Oregon in the US. Walking backward also keeps our backbones strong, which can help to lighten pain in the lower back. This might be why many old people like walking backward.

Most people want to be happy, but few know how to find happiness. Money and success alone do not bring lasting happiness. Aristotle, a Greek thinker, said, “Happiness depends upon ourselves.” In other words, we make our own happiness. Here are a few suggestions to help you be happier.
The first secret of happiness is to enjoy the simple things in life. Too often, we spend so much time thinking about the future—for example, getting into college or getting a good job—that we fail to enjoy the present. You should enjoy life’ s simple pleasures, such as reading a good book, listening to your favorite music, or spending time with close friends. People who have several close friends often live happier and healthier lives.
Another secret to living a happy life is to be active, and have hobbies where you forget your problems and time. Many people experience this dancing, or playing a sport, such as swimming. You can forget about your problems, and only think about the activity.
Finally, many people find happiness in helping others. Studies show that people feel good when they spend their time helping others. If you want to feel happier, do good things for someone. You can help a friend with his or her studies, go shopping to buy food for an elderly person, or simply help out around the house by washing the dishes.

Upcycling is the process of changing old materials into something useful and often beautiful. It is different from recycling. When you recycle something, old materials need to be broken down so that their base materials can be remade into a new product, often of inferior(次等的)quality. When you upcycle an object, you aren’t breaking down the material. You’re simply making it into something else. Also, the upcycled object is typically of the same, or even better quality.
The idea of upcycling isn’t new. Some of the best examples of modern-day upcycling come from the 1930s to 1940s when people didn’t have many material resources(资源). In those days, people found new purposes for old things over and over until they were no longer useful. For example, old coats would be turned into shoes and an old door would be made into a new table.
Nowadays, saving is still a big reason why some people upcycle. An even bigger reason for the rebirth of upcycling is that it’s environmentally-friendly. Things shouldn’t just be thrown away when they can be turned into something useful. Upcycling is also more environmentally-friendly than recycling which requires energy or water to break down materials. Upcycling just requires your own creativity and effort.
Upcycling can provide you with something that’s both creative and practical. Why don’t you support the idea by checking your house or recycling bin and creating objects yourself Take action right now!

Do you want to become better at making small talk with new people Do you want to become better at networking with others Nothing will improve your networking ability and your ability to make a successful conversation with other people rather than your curiosity(好奇心) about them.
When you have curiosity about others, you will be much less nervous and your conversations will work a lot better. Instead of worrying about yourself, “What can I say next that won’t sound stupid ” you will focus on learning more about the other person.
Making small talk with strangers can be tricky. We’ve all heard the advice that we should pick something out of our environment and use that as a main point to start our small talk with the other person. It’s true that this can be a great starting point for a conversation. However, when you focus too much on discussing things like the weather in your city, you can bring the conversation to a painful end very quickly. The other person will sense that you are trying to make a conversation, but that you have no interest in really getting to know him or her.
How can you keep small talk from becoming boring One way is to watch the other person for what is really interesting to them. When you understand, start making the conversation a bit more about their life, their opinions, and their experiences. After you have had a few minutes to break the ice, try looking for ways to make the conversation a little bit more personal. He or she might be happy to discuss his or her favorite team or musical band.
