Step 1 Review Stand next to the child holding a ruler, for example, and ask the other children, “Is it his ruler or her ruler ” Repeat the question if they are unsure.Hold up a pen and a book of your own, and say, “This is my pen . This is my book.”Repeat the procedure with the remaining children.Step2 PresentationHold up your mask of Bobby Bear and say “Here is a new friend.His name is Bobby Bear.”Say , “Hi, Bobby”! Have the Ss greet Bobby in the same way.Talk about the storyStep3 Practise1.Play the tape ,pausing at each new picture. Have the Ss repeat the words before you move on to the next picture.2.Divide the class into three groups, one for Bobby Bear, one for Tommy, and one for Ken. Play the tape one line at a time.Have each group repeat the dialog for their characters. 3.Choose three Ss to roleplay the dialog in front of the class.

Step 1 Structures reviewHold up the picure side of each card in turn.Have the children name the object on each card.Hold up each card in turn again.Say “This is a (bag).”Use some correct names and some incorrect names.Have the Ss answer yes or no.If the answer is no, have theSs then say, “This isn’t a (pen).This is a (pencil). Step2 PractisePlay the first sentence.Then play it again and have the Ss point to the correct character as they listen to the tape.Repeat the procedure for the other five pictures.Play the tape again. This time have the Ss number the pictures as they hear the sentences.Stpe3 Structures ReviewPoint to the first picture and ask “Who is she” Elicit the correct sentence,She’s Ann. or She’s his sister.Repeat the procedure for the pictures of Ken, Kate, and Mocky.Repeat the procedure for the oter pictures, saying “He’ ”or “She” to elicit yes or no.
