Explain that in English we often say Let’s or Shall we when we make a suggestion, for example, Let’s go to the perk or Shall we go to the zoo. Now present the words amusement park. As you play the tape, have them touch the matching words or pictures.2. Replay the tape while showing your copy of the page. Stop the tape after each word and have the children repeat the words.3. Play the tape again without stopping. Have the children say the words along with the tape. 4. Without playing the tape, point to one of the pictures or word from the children.5. Play the tape, stopping after each sentence. Have the children touch the corresponding picture. Make sure that they are all touching the correct picture before you continue.5. Play the tape again, stopping after each sentence. Explain that this time you want the children to number the pictures according to their order on the tape.6. Review the sentences in a class drill.Step 4. Let’s Sing1. This song can be used as a selection procedure to decide which child has first turn in a game, or to form pairs. (The first two children chosen form a pair. Continue until all the children are in pairs.)2. Play the tape once without stopping and have the children listen. Encourage them to clap in time to the music.3. Play the tape again and have the children practice singing the song a few words at a time. Make sure they use the correct stress pattern.4. Have the children all sing the song without stopping.Step 5. Talk together1. Have the children turn to page 42. Draw their attention to the amusement park on top of the page. Show your copy of the page. Ask the children what they think Mocky is thinking about. Ask, “Where do you think Mocky wants to go ” Try to elicit to the amusement park.2. Point to the first dialog. Tell the children that it is a dialog between Mocky and Ken. 3. Point to the first sentence. See if the children can read the sentence without your help. Now read the words together.4. Repeat the procedure for the remaining sentences in the first dialog.5. Divide the class into two groups. One group is Mocky, and the other group is Ken. Have them repeat the dialog.6. Repeat the procedure for the second dialog.7. Put the children into pairs to practice the two dialogs. Encourage them to substitute different suggestions for Let’s go to ( the park ). They can use the examples given in Words to learn. Also have the children substitute different times for three o’clock and different amounts of money for seven yuan.Step 6. Listen and number1. Have the children open their books at page 42. Show your copy of the page. Point to the first picture and have the children tell you what they can see.2.
