(2)过去进行时的构成：过去进行时由“was/were +现在v. -ing) ”构成。
(3)过去进行时的基本用法
①过去进行时表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作，时间状语往往是表示过去的某一时间点。如：I was having breakfast at 7: 00 this morning. 今天早上七点钟，我正在吃早餐.
②过去进行时还表示过去的某段时间内持续进行的动作。如：I was watching TV the whole night yesterday. 昨天整个晚上我都在看电视。
③一般过去时和过去进行时的比较一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，而过去进行时则表示在过去某一时刻、时间正在进行的动作。如：I read a book last night.昨晚我读了一本书。（书读完了）.

(4)过去进行时用法口诀
主语在句首,was, were跟其后，现在分词跟着走，其他成分不可丢。表示过去动作正进行，
