《Lesson 23 The Internet--- Good or Bad 》教学设计
【教材依据】本课内容是冀教版八年级英语下册第四单元The Internet connects us的第五课,是这一单元的倒数第二课,因此是对本单元前几课内容的继续延伸,同时也是对本单元内容的归纳总结,起着承上启下的作用。
一、设计思路
1、指导思想。本课内容的设计主要依据新课程理念中对于八年级学生英语学习的基本要求,从学生已有的知识水平出发,在课堂上注重对学生的语言技能和学习策略的培养,让学生在获得知识和技能的同时学会学习并形成正确的语言运用能力。因此围绕这一要求,重点通过课堂上对学生的听说训练鼓励学生大胆开口说英语,积极表达自己的想法,从而达到运用语言进行交流的目的。
教材分析:本单元围绕因特网改变了世界,为我们带来了很多的便利,同时也让学生了解到复活节、科学技术的发展,丰富了学生的课外知识,也开阔了学生的视野。本节课的主要内容是谈论因特网的利与弊。因特网是现代社会非常重要的工具,它给我们的生活学习带来了诸多的便利,但随之而来的也出现了一些弊端,通过谈论因特网的优点与弊端,教会学生用一分为二的观点看待事物,同时引导教育学生趋利避害,正确合理使用因特网。
学情分析:学生通过本单元前四课的学习,已经能够简单地表达自己的一些基本观点,如:What do you usually do on the Internet What do you like to do best why 但对于因特网的一些弊端学生还不会用英语表达,因此,在教学过程中设计了不同水平学生都能解决的一些问题,帮助他们树立学习英语的自信心。
2、教学目标。
学习目标:
(1) 知识与技能目标
a.The students can read and use the new words correctly: advantage ,simple ,coin, cause, less, steal ;the students can use the phrases properly: in seconds, far away, aside from, take up ; the students can express their ideas about the Internet fluently.
(2) 过程与方法:. Help the students to show their ideas about the Internet by listening, discussing and reading.
(3)情感态度目标:.Encourage the students to take an active part in the class activities, express their ideas bravely in class.
(4)现代教学手段的运用
本节课我利用PPT制作课件,使用电子白板进行教学,集声音、图像、视频、文字于一体,具有形象、生动、趣味等特点,根据教学设计的需要加入了一些动画效果,调动学生的积极性。
3、学习重点:
1. Learn to use the key words and phrases correctly.
2. Talk about the advantages and disadvantages correctly and freely.
学习难点:
Understand the two sentences:
(1) It helps us get things done more quickly.
(2) It may even cause them to be less social with family and friends.
4.教法与学法
(1) 情景教学法:通过创设情境,设置问题导入新课,引导学生在情境中学习。
(2) 任务型教学法:在课堂教学中,始终围绕让学生完成相应的任务进行教学,让学生学会在“做中学,学中做”。
(3)学习方法:合作、交流

三、学习过程
Step 1. Lead in
1. Get the students to discuss the questions in groups , then choose some volunteers to answer the questions.
(1)What do you usually do on the Internet
Most students can answer some of them: chat online with friends, listen to music, play games, watch movies , search information for homework and so on.
设计意图:通过学生已经熟悉的问题激发学生思考,为下一环节做准备。
(2)Do your parents allow you to use the Internet often
(3)Why are some parents worried about their kids using the Internet
Help the students to use : be harmful to, lose interest in my subjects……
设计意图:通过这两个问题,引发学生思考:网络给我们带来的弊端,由此顺理成章引出课题。
(4).Do you think the Internet is good or bad
Then according to the students answer, write the sentence on the blackboard:
Every coin has two sides.
Step2. Listen and answer the questions.
Wang Mei and Li Ming have different ideas about the Internet.
设计意图:通过听力训练进一步引导学生明确观点:网络有利也有弊。
Step 3. Learn the new words.
Step 4. Fill in the blanks according to the first letter given.
1. Someone ______ my QQ number last night.
2. I don’t think it is a ________ question because many students don’t know the answer.
3.The students from our grade spent _______ time in the relay race(接力赛) than before and broke the school record.
4.Smoking can ______ lung cancer.
5.This kind of new machine has a lot of _____, but on the other hand, costing much is its ________.
设计意图: 设置练习的目的是为了更好的巩固所学单词,达到在用中学。
Step 5. Get the students to read the text quickly and try to find out the important phrases in the text.(divide the students into different groups and give each group different tasks and test which group is faster. If the students make mistakes, the other groups can correct them.)
设计意图:学生合作弄清课文中的重点短语含义,为理解课文内容扫清障碍。
Step 6. Let the students read the text again carefully and then finish Exercise 1, fill in the tables.
Good points and bad points about the Internet. Then correct the answers with the whole class.
设计意图:阅读课文,理解课文大意,进一步明确本课观点:因特网的优点与弊端都有哪些,为复述课文内容做铺垫。
Step 7. Retell the text.
1. Show the key sentences , let the students retell each paragraph by filling in the missing words or phrases.
The Internet has changed the world. People _____ connect and share information ______. However, the Internet has _____ and ________.
In many ways , it makes life easier and_______. It helps us ________more quickly. It _______the world to us and makes it easy to ______friends far away.
But every coin has two sides. Spending too much time online _______people’s health. It may cause them ________ with family and friends. ________that, some people ______ the web to steal _______________.
The Internet is a useful tool. But if you use it _________, don’t let it _______all of your time, it can make your life __________.
设计意图:先让学生集体回顾复述课文,重复使用在第3、4、5环节中出现的重点单词 和短语,既是对单词短语的巩固训练,也是对课文内容的加深理解过程。再让个别学生分段落复述课文,适当降低了任务难度,也激发大多数学生的参与意识。
2. Then choose some volunteers to retell the paragraphs.
设计意图:在这一环节中,对学生能力的要求比较高,一是对单词短语的熟悉程度,而是对课文内容的熟悉,还考查了学生的语言表达能力,刺激学生在任务中挑战自我。
3. Wipe off the key sentences , only some key words and key phrases left on the blackboard, then help the students to retell the text again until the students can retell the text fluently and freely.

设计意图:这一环节的难度最大,但是在前面个环节层层铺垫的基础上,完成这一任务也是水到渠成。

According to the difficulties, give them different numbers of stars ( two –three—five) to encourage the students to speak actively .
设计意图:通过课堂小结,及时归纳,并通过奖励星星的激励措施,让学生对于自己在这节课的收获做出准确的评价。
Step9. Homework.
The Internet makes our life more colourful, but it also has a lot of disadvantages, can you tell us your ideas about the Internet
设计意图:通过本节课大量的口语训练为学生进行了很多有效的信息储备,再通过写的任务考查学生对于本课内容的理解和综合运用所学知识的能力,也是提高书面表达能力的有效手段。
四、教学反思
我在这节课的教学活动中,能始终围绕着“以学生为中心,让学生动起来”的这一基本原则设计教学活动。从课堂导入的问题设计,单词短语的识记到巩固,都是从易到难,层层递进,而且每一个教学环节的设计都是在为下一个环节做铺垫,学生在有了这一环节的知识储备后,下一个环节的活动也就得心应手了,尤其是在课文内容复述这一环节,先给出一些重要观点的句子,但句子中挖去了关键的单词和短语(这些关键词和短语也是本课中的生词和重点短语),让学生分段复述,相应降低了难度,在学生熟练的基础上,只留下关键词和短语,让学生连词成句,使难度增加,最后再连句成段。在课堂小结中运用激励措施(奖励星星)激发学生说的欲望,作业设计则是将课堂上反复练习的观点以书面的形式让学生写出来,有了这节课的积累和知识储备,学生写起来也会容易很多。但本节课也存在着一些不足,课堂导入部分显得过于冗长,不够简练,课堂上学生口头练习多,但笔头练习相对不足,再加之这节课单词短语多,内容难度大,对于部分基础较弱的学生来说还是有一些难度,对他们的关注还不够,这都需要在今后的教学中努力改进,更多地兼顾不同水平学生的需求,使人人都能在课堂上有收获。
