made up of a noun phrase or noun clause .
Know about some knowledge of shopping in western countries

Teaching Procedure:
Step 1 : Ask and Answer
Come to “Think About It”.Ask two student volunteers to read the Think About It questions aloud to the class and make sure the students understand what each question is asking. Explain the phrase “pocket money”.Divide the class into groups to discuss the Think About It questions.Then have the groups share their answers with the class.Check and correct the answers as a class.
Step 2 : Present
1)Show some pictures of the new words to the students.Read and spell. Then discuss some of the differences between dollars and cents.Show the students some pictures to give them a better idea.
2)Teach the Object Clause.Explain an Object Clause means that a noun clause is used as object of the verb instead of a single- word noun..A noun clause can be used in the same way as a single-word noun.For example: “I don’t know the man” can become “I don’t know who the man is”.Noun clause objects often begin with that,what,where,who,which or why.Ask the students to write two object clauses which use noun clauses as the object of the sentences.Pay attention to object clauses and the normal word order. Pay attention to the tense of the object clause ,too.
Step 3 : Listen and Read
1)Play the audiotape for Lesson 26,and ask the class to listen and read aloud along with the audiotape.Remind the students to do their best to imitate the pronunciation they hear.
Step 4 :Read and Do
Instruct the students to read the lesson again and complete Let’s Do It! No.1 in pairs.Check and correct the answers as a class.Explain the mastery phrases for this lesson(come up to, pay for, for sale,go/walk over to , I’m afraid I can’t afford it.What is it for )
Step 5 : Practice
Ask the students to work independently to complete Let’s Do It! No.3. Have some student volunteers share their answers with the class. Check and correct the answers as a class.
Step 6 :Role-play
Instruct the students to role-play the lesson in groups of three.Then let some students present their role-play in front of the class.
Step 7 : Task
Imagine the students are in a supermarket.Ask them to role-play handling money.Ask them to buy and sell some schoo things in pairs. One student will be the salesman and the other the customer.The students should make up a dialogue using the information from Activity 3.Then ask the students to present their dialogue in front of the class.
Step 8: Homework
Complete Let’s Do It! No.2.
Role-play the dialogue in groups of three.
Master all the words and phrases learnt today.
Summary : The dialogue is about shopping.Students learn about some knowledge of shopping in western countries.Spoken English is very important for them to learn English well.The teacher should give them more chances to pratise it.The object clause is the grammar focus of this lesson.Students should pay attention to the normal word order and the tense. Have students role-play some lessons more often.Encourage them to be confident and creative..
