本课是PEP小学英语三年级起点第二册Unit 2第一课时。本单元学习的主
题是家庭成员,通过节假日大家在公园娱乐的场景呈现了本单元的核心句型和词汇 教学重点是学生能听 说 认读表示家庭成员的单词,能听懂 会说核心句型“—Who’s that man/woman —He / She is my…”,并能在实际情景中灵活运用。
课时目标
知识与能力
能够理解对话大意,并能够用正确的语音语调朗读对话。
能够在语境中运用句型“—Who’s that man/woman —He’s/She’s
my…”来交流各家庭成员的信息。
通过创设“某人是谁”的情景,巩固操练句型“—Who’s that man/woman
—He’s/She’s my…”。
过程与方法
首先,通过打招呼的方式,来复习上个单元已学内容。然后播放上个单
元的歌谣,让学生回忆he和she的区别,以达到活跃课堂气氛的目的,同时也为这节课的学习内容做铺垫
其次,利用课本上的人物和展示爸爸妈妈和朋友的照片,继续让学生了
解介绍他人的句子。并自然地引出本节课所学的重点句子:“—Who’s that man/woman —He’s/She’s…”和“He is my father. She is my mother. This is my friend.”。
最后,利用传球的游戏,来激发学生的学习热情,进而巩固本课的重点

Step 1: Warm-up & Revision
1. Greetings.
T: Boys and girls, nice to see you again!
Ss: Nice to see you, too.
T:How are you?
Ss:I’m fine,thank you. And you?
2. Let’s chant. (课件出示:教材P8 Let’s chant的视频。)
Step 2: Presentation
1. Think and answer.
(1) The teacher asks the class to answer some questions.
T: Who is the boy
Ss: He is…
T: Who is the girl
Ss: She is…
The teacher gives out the headwears of all characters to students first, then makes dialogues with students. They are Mr Jones,Amy, Sarah, Miss White,Chen Jie, John, Mike and Wu Binbin.
Then the teacher asks and the students answer.
T: Who is the girl
(The teacher points to a girl who wears a headwear of Amy.)
Ss: She / He is…
T: Who is this man
(The teacher points to a boy who wears the headwear of Mr Jones.)
Ss: He is Mr Jones.
T: Yes, you are right.
①The teacher shows the word card “man” and teaches students how to read it. (课件出示:一张“man”的单词卡片,并进行教学。)
T: Who is that woman
(The teacher points to a student who wears the headwear of Miss White.)
Ss: She is Miss White.
T: Yes, you are so clever!
②The teacher shows the word card “woman” and teaches students how to read it. (课件出示:一张“woman”的单词卡片,并进行教学。)
(3) The teacher shows the pictures and the sentences on the PPT. (课件出示: 人物图片及相应的句子。)
Then write down above models on the blackboard.
2. Look and say.
The teacher shows the pictures of the teacher’s father, mother and friends. (课件出示: 教师的爸爸 妈妈和朋友的照片。)
The teacher points to the man in the picture and asks.
T: Who’s that man Have a guess.
Ss: He is your father.
T: Yes, he’s my father.
The teacher writes down the sentence“He is your father.”on the blackboard, then teaches students how to read it.
T: Sometimes I call him dad,too.
The teacher writes down the word of “dad” beside the word of “father” on the blackboard.
The teacher points to the woman in the picture and asks.
T: Who is that woman Try to guess.
Ss: She is your mother.
T: Yes, she’s my mother.
The teacher writes down the sentence “She’s my mother.” on the blackboard, then teaches students how to read it.
T: Besides,I can call my mother “mum”,too.
The teacher writes down the word of “mum” beside the word of “mother” on the blackboard.
The teacher points to the girl in the picture and asks.
T: Who is this girl Can you guess
Ss: She is your friend.
T: Yes, this is my friend.
The teacher writes down the sentence “This is my friend.” on the blackboard, then teaches students how to read it.
Step 3: Practice
1. Let’s talk.
(1) Let’s watch a video and answer the questions. (课件出示:教材P14 Let’s talk的视频。)
T: It’s Sunday. Amy goes to Chen Jie’s home. Who is at home Try to guess! Now watch the video.
T: Who is at home
Ss: Chen Jie’s father.
T: Right! He is at home.
(2) Watch the video for the second time and read the dialogue.
T: Now let’s watch the video again and repeat it.
Show time.
The teacher gives the headwears of the characters who is mentioned just now to students. Students practice the dialogues in groups. If which group acts best,the teacher praises them or gives a reward to them.
2. Point and say.
(1) Watch the video.
Before watching the video, the teacher need to show the people first who will be shown in the video. (课件出示:Amy的爸爸,Wu Binbin的妈妈 祖父和祖母的照片。)
T: We can see four words in the video. They are“father”,“mother”, “grandfather”,“grandmother”.
The teacher shows the corresponding word cards one by one ,then teaches students how to read.
(课件出示:与书中所展示的相册相关的视频。)
T: We can also call “grandpa” instead of “grandfather” . Besides,we can call “grandma” instead of “grandmother” .
(2) Let’s try.
Students show their own photos one by one. The teacher can choose one student and makes a dialogue with her/him in front of the class.
T: Who’s this woman
S1: She’s my mother.
T: Who’s that man
S1: He’s my father.
(If the student can’t speak out directly, the teacher can help or give a hint to him/her.)
(3) Then students can make dialogues in pairs.
S1: Who’s this boy/girl/man/woman …
S2: He / She is my…
S1: Who’s he/she
S2: He / She is my…
Step 4: Consolidation & Extension
Play a game——Passing ball.
1. Let’s play.
The teacher shows some characters whom we have known on the PPT. (出示课件)Then the teacher can play the music. When it stops, the student who holds the ball must make a dialogue with her/his partner.
S1: Who’s this boy/girl/man/woman…
S2: He / She is (my) …
Finally,the students can choose the best pair. Then The teacher praises them.
