Lesson 48 Garbage Is Interesting !
一． 教学理念：
根据新课标,教师应把握好教材的合理性，知识传递的准确性，学生学习的高效性；培养学生发现问题、解决问题的能力，帮助学生养成独立思考、共同讨论、合作探究的习惯；课后师生及时交流，教师反思。
二． 教材分析：
本课时选择的是八年级课本下第八单元Save Our World!中的一篇文章，主要是关于“环保”问题。这篇文章讲述了如何对垃圾进行分类，以及不同垃圾的再利用，希望人们减少环境污染，提高环保意识，共建美好家园。
三.学情分析：
学生对此话题已经非常熟悉，所以他们能很好的理解课文。他们能借助情景和上下文猜测词义或推测段落大意的能力，利用推理、归纳等逻辑手段分析和解决问题的能力，并具备了一定的生活常识，因此本课易学。
四．教学目标：
1.掌握词汇及短语 seat , sort...into... ,take a walk
2.接触词汇及短语 clean-up ,lid ,take a trip ,make...out of...
3.能够运用简单的阅读策略，通过详读或略读来获取信息，理解课文内容，了解并学习关于环境保护的初步知识，开阔视野。了解自己所生活的环境的污染问题，采取措施来保护自己周边的环境，大家一起努力，是我们的国家更加美丽。

重点：完成本节课的教学目标，能准确使用目标中的单词及短语，并能用英语进行有关环保问题的实际交流。
难点：能用流利地英语进行有关环保问题的实际交流。
八．教学过程：
Step1: Lead in(3'')
What have you learnt from this unit
What did you do after knowing that
Have the class discuss the question.
Now let’s look at what Jenny and her friends do.
Step2: Listening(5'')
Listen to the article while thinking about these questions:
What did Jenny and her friends do this week
What did Jenny and her friends do with the garbage they found
Can you think of some other ways to reuse the garbage
Step3: Discussing(5'')
Divide the class into small groups. Ask them to discuss the answers and write down the answers.
Check which group’s answer is best.
Step4: Reading(18'')
Students read the article by themselves. And do the questions
Find the important points and difficult points. Then discuss and write them in groups.
The teacher and the students summary them together.
1. 1. clean-up “扫除”为名词。而clean up “打扫”为“动词+副词”组成的动词短语。
2. 2.take a walk “散步”为固定短语。
e.g. It’s good for you to take a walk after supper.
3. Danny found a toy car with one broken wheel丹尼发现一个有一只轮子坏了的汽车玩具。（其中with one broken wheel 是介词短语作定语，放在被修饰的名词后面）
e.g. Please pass me the bottle with some oil.
4. sort …into…“将事物分类、整理”。sort 为动词。
e.g. He is sorting his stamps into piles.
5. make …out of …“用……制成……”
e.g. They will make some bread out of the flour.
6.Our teacher also taught us about how garbage is recycled.老师还教我们如何再利用垃圾。
（若主句为一般过去时，宾语从句通常要用与过去有联系的时态。但此句中从句说的是客观事实，所以用一般现在时。*宾语从句由连接代词或连接副词来引导；宾语从句应使用陈述语序；宾语从句时态有两中情况：主句为一般现在时，从句可根据具体情况选择所需要的时态；主句为一般过去时，从句通常要用与过去有联系的时态。但若从句说的是客观真理，自然现象等时，要用一般现在时。）

(both sides 也可以用 either side 或each side 来表示。)
Step5: Retelling(12'')
Students read the article again , then retell it or give some advice about environment problems. Then ask some groups to share it.
At last , let the students to see the pictures about pollution and no pollution.
Step6: Homework(2'')
*Do the exercise book Lesson 63.
*Send an e-mail back to Jenny.
*Make a survey.让学生观察自己身边的垃圾种类都有哪些？哪些最多/少？哪些可再利用？填好以下表格，并与课文内容相比较。同时让学生根据自身情况讨论：怎样减少这些垃圾的产生？自己会怎样做？

十．教学反思：
通过问题导入，开发了学生积极思维的能力，用听听力的方式导入课文，做阅读训练的同时也提高了学生的听力水平。学生自己阅读总结重难点，可以加深学生对知识点和课文内容的理解和记忆。复述课文或自己思考提出环保的几点措施，能够培养学生的实际英语交际能力。在我认为本课的不足之处是知识点的巩固练习还不够充分。课下还应多做这方面的练习，以继续巩固所学内容。
