Unit 1 Using Language 名师教学设计
课时内容
本课时涉及的部分是语言知识运用、对学校社团的介绍以及制定自己的计划，包括 Review: basic sentence structures，School clubs & Making a plan三部分。Review：basic sentence structures复习句子的基本结构，要求学生能运用所学知识熟练做出完整的、符合结构的句子。School clubs介绍了几种学生喜欢参加的学校社团。通过填写活动，让学生进一步了解各种不同类型社团的特点以及主要活动内容，旨在让学生了解不同的社团，根据自身的性格、兴趣，选择适合自己的社团，并用简短的英语陈述自己的理由。Making a plan让学生在了解了英国、美国学生的课外活动的基础上，制定自己的课外活动计划。该部分既涉及了简短阅读，又有听力训练和表达。通过该部分的学习，既提高了学生实际运用语言的能力，又提供了独立思考的空间，让学生在学中做，做中学，真正将知识转化成能力。
课时目标
1.掌握本课时的重点词汇 poster, badminton, band, gym, piano, stage, argue, topic, sharp, dinosaur, dolphin, intelligent, various, volunteer, apply, schedule。
2.通过语言知识的学习，进一步复习句子的基本构成，能做出结构完整的句子，提高语言运用能力。
3.通过阅读简短文章、归纳总结、提炼主旨等题目锻炼学生的英语逻辑思维能力，培养学生的快速阅读、分析问题、概括归纳能力。
4.培养学生在听力练习中捕捉关键信息的能力。
5.了解学校的课外活动和社团，扩大学生的视野、提高认知层面，提高兴趣，从而激发学生热爱学校、热爱学习的情感。
重点难点：

复习句子的基本结构，运用所学知识做出结构正确的句子。
难点：
通过上述学习活动，能用语言表达自己的看法，并制定相关计划。
教学准备：
教师准备：
做好该部分内容的PPT（句子基本结构）；准备好学校社团的图片或视频资料；准备好 Making a plan部分的音频材料。
学生准备：
1.每个学生准备七个结构简单的句子。
2.调查自己学校的学生社团，并上网查资料，了解更多的社团活动，并将自己感兴趣的社团用简短英语介绍。
教学过程：
1. Do Activity 1 on Page 5.
2. Sum up the basic sentence structures according the sentences above.
（1）“主语+谓语（S+V）”结构，简称为主谓结构；
（2）“主语+系动词+表语（S+V+P）”结构，简称主系表结构；
（3）“主语+谓语+宾语（S+V+O）”结构，可简称主谓宾结构；
（4）“主语+谓语+间接宾语+直接宾语（S+V+IO+DO）”结构，可简称为主谓宾宾结构；
（5）“主语+谓语+宾语+宾语补足语（S+V+O+C）”结构，可简称为主谓宾宾补结构；
（6）“主语+谓语+状语（S+V+A）”结构，可简称主谓状结构；
（7）“主语+谓语+宾语+状语（S+V+O+A）”结构，可简称为主谓宾状结构。
3. Ask the students to analyse the sentence structures of the Activity 1.
4. Give some sentences to practise.
(1) They are running very slowly.
(2) This is an English-Chinese dictionary.
(3) Robbie didn’t deny the facts.
(4) She ordered herself a new dress.
(5)I found this book easy.
(6) We all breathe, eat and drink.
(7) He painted the wall white.
First ask the students to do the exercise on their own and then check answers together.
5. Do Activity 2 on Page 5. Make simple sentences according to basic sentence structures.
Step Ⅱ School clubs
1. Show the pictures or videos prepared in advance to introduce various school clubs in your school.
2. Ask the students to introduce them in simple English. Ask some individuals to report their information attained from the Internet about more school clubs.
3. Do Activity 3 on Page 6.
4. Ask the students their interests and favourite school clubs. Tell the reasons.
Step Ⅲ Making a plan
1. Read the short passage to learn about the school activities of the USA and the UK.
2. Do Activity 5 on Page 7. Listen to the tape and choose the right.
【设计意图】通过听力练习，获取文章关键信息，并归纳出文章主旨，锻炼学生分析、整合信息的能力。根据课本提供的选项来选择，比起自己概括总结又降低了难度，因此适合高一阶段的学生水平。
3. Do Activity 6 on Page 7. Listen to the tape again and complete the plan.
4. Work in pairs and make your own weekend plan. Make a dialogue about your plan with your partner and choose some pairs to report in front of the class.
Step IV Sum up
回顾总结句子的基本结构。注意制定计划的句式和时态。
Step V Homework
1. Give seven sentence examples according to the basic sentence structures.
2. Make a plan for the coming weekend.
