教学目标:
1、能听懂、会说”How tall are you I’m 1.65metres. I’m taller than this one.How tall is it ” 并能在情境中正确运用。
2、能够知道metre的意思,能够独立完成let’s try 练习。
3、学习形容词比较级和最高级结构。
4、通过学习,学生能熟练运用形容词比较级和最高级的句子。
5、培养学生良好的英语学习习惯。

2. 能描述自己的年龄、身高,并能用比较级及最高级与别人比较

教学过程:
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Free talk.
Teacher and students greeting each other.
2. Sing a song: <>
Let students sing the song together.
3.Review the words.
Have students play a game:What’s he/she like
Use this game to review words.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Teach the word: than.
The teacher shows the pictures and let them prepare use the word : than.
2.Make a new sentence use than.
_____ is ______ than _____.
3. Teach : tallest dinosaur
Let students say the sentence use the word : than. Then let students learn the new word: tallest.
John is tall.(1.61)
Zhang Peng is taller.(1.65)
Mr Wu is the tallest of the three.(1.76)
教师通过身高的具体数字让学生感知tallest的含义,并让学生感知”-est”的发音规律。
4.Let’s try.
Introduce the dinosaur museum. Let students listen and tick.
5.Show the dialogue for the first time.
Students listen to the dialogue and think:
(1) How tall is the big dinosaur
(2)How tall is Zhang Peng
(3) Who is taller, Zhang Peng or the small dinosaur
(4) Which dinosaur is taller, the green one or the brown one
6. Let students read the dialogue by themselves and write the timetable of Pedro.
Students read the dialogue by themselves and fill in the blanks.
Zhang peng:Look, That’s the _______dinosaur in this hall.
Mike:Yes,it is.________________.
Zhang peng:Maybe 4_______.
Mike:Wow,it’s _______than___________together.
Zhang peng:Look!There are more _____over there.
Mike:They’re so big and tall.
Zhang peng:Hey,this dinosaur isn’t tall.
_______________________
Mike: Oh,yes.How tall are you
Zhang peng: I’m 1.65metres.
6.Read the dialogue and act the dialogue.
Ask Ss to act the dialogue by pair work or group work.
Step 4 Practice
1.让学生分角色朗读表演,注意语音语调。
2.创造去恐龙博物馆的情境,根据身高决定是否要买票,调查学生身高。让学生进行问答。
3.继续呈现去博物馆的情境,对去博物馆后看到的恐龙进行比较,请学生根据图片内容用比较级、最高级说一说哪只恐龙较高,哪只恐龙更高。
4.请学生拿出提前准备好的恐龙卡片,比较一下谁的恐龙高。
Step5 Production
1.请学生进行小组合作,将自己的恐龙贴在一张纸上,制成恐龙海报.
2. 根据制作的海报,将恐龙与其他事物进行比较.
3. 教师列出其他恐龙的名称、身高,让学生阅读表格信息后总结并报告.
Step6 Summary
T: What have you learned today
学生们自由说,教师总结。
Step7 Homework
1. 听录音跟读Let’s talk部分对话。
2. 搜索更多关于恐龙的信息,进一步了解恐龙。
