内容分析
本课是PEP小学英语三年级起点第二册Unit5第三课时。本课时为语音学习
和单词书写两部分内容。通过听一听,读一读,唱一唱的活动,展示四个语音例词:fun,run,duck,under,让学生通过听、读、拆音等练习体会并掌握字母u在单词中的发音。本课时主要学习其在闭音节里发的短音/ /。学生在重复诵唱有趣的韵句的同时,可以不断感受元音字母u的发音。之后的读一读,听一听、标序号活动,学生需要根据听到的顺序给相应的单词标上序号,检验学生的听音辨音能力,以及认读单词的能力。听一听写一写的活动通过描红,使学生初步掌握单词的书写要求并辨认字形。

过程与方法
首先,通过做互动游戏,生动自然地将四个单词串联起来,贴近学生生活实际。灵活运用单词卡片、肢体语言和面部表情,帮助学生理解单词的含义。
然后,对于read部分,让学生试读、跟读,引导学生观察和发现规律。通过老师带读,引导学生体验、总结单词的拼读和发音规则。再进行游戏,进一步让学生感知、体验单词的拼读规则,提高学生的语音意识,活跃课堂氛围。
最后,引导学生拼读例词,强化字母u的发音规则的掌握,培养学生的学习主动性。充分发挥多媒体教学的优势,通过chant、“火眼金睛”等操练活动,让学生在游戏的氛围中,轻松愉快地巩固字母u的发音规则。学生在玩中学,在学中玩,达到寓教于乐的目的。

Step 1: Warm-up & Revision
1. Greeting to each other.
2. Revision.
Ask students to fill in the blanks according to the pictures, then answer the questions according to the smiling face or the crying face.
The first picture:some pears with smiling face.
The second picture:some oranges with crying face.
The third picture:some bananas with smiling face.
The fourth picture:some apples with crying face.
Make a model:
—Do you like ?
—Yes,I do. / No,I don’t.(According to the expression of face,answer yes or no.)
(课件出示:四张图片,他们分别是带有笑脸的梨,带有哭脸的橘子,带有笑脸的香蕉和带有哭脸的苹果。)
Step 2: Presentation
1. Look and say.
(1)The teacher shows the action of run in the front of the class.
T:Look, children! Can you guess what I am doing
Ss:Run. / 跑 (If the students can not say in English,they can answer in Chinese.)
Present the word card “run” on PPT. Help students understand the meaning by body languages. Teach the word by the word card.(课件出示:“run”的单词卡片,并进行教学。)
(2)Then The teacher points to a desk which is under the desk. (课件出示:一只鸭子的图片,并对“duck”进行教学。)
T:Look! What’s this
Ss: A duck! / 鸭子。(If the students can not say in English,they can answer in Chinese.)
T: Great! It’s a duck!
Use the word card to teach the word “duck” and explain it. Then lead students to read it three times.
T: Can you say where the ball is (课件出示:一个球在椅子下的图片,并对“under”进行教学。)
Ss:Yes,it is under the desk.(If the students can not say in English,they can answer in Chinese.)
The teacher shows the word card “under”.
T:Right,I just found the toy duck under the desk.
Teach the word “under” by passing the card.
The teacher laughs.(课件出示:一个人大笑的图片,并对“fun”进行教学。)
T:Children, look at me now. You answered very well just now,so I’m very happy. In other words,I have a lot of fun.
Teach students to understand the meaning of “fun” with laughing face.
2. Read and chant.
(1)Students listen the chant first
(2)Then read the chant after the recording and the teacher.
(3)The teacher leads students to understand the chant.
(4)At last,students chant together with clapping their hands.
Lyrics:

3. Look and find. (课件出示:fun, run, duck, under四个单词。)
T: Boys and girls,try to read these words. Do they have in common?Please listen and think.
Let students listen and read after the recording. One minutes later.
Ss:Yes,there is one same sound among them.
T: Which letter sounds the same
Ss: Letter “u”.
T: What is the sound of “u”
Ss: / /.
4. Think and repeat.
T: Children, please look at my mouth and follow me. Fun,fun, /f/-/ /-/n/, fun.
Students read after the teacher, and try to think about the pronunciation rule.
T: How many sounds do you hear in “fun”
Ss: Three.
T: What are they
Ss: /f/-/ /-/n/.
Then teach the other words “run” “duck” “under” in the same way.
5. Listen and say.
(1)The teacher says the words one by one. Students listen carefully and repeat.
(2)Then try to say the sounds in a word according to what they hear one by one.
(3)At last all students read the word together.
T: Fun.
Ss: Fun,/f/-/ /-/n/,fun.

Step 3: Practice
1. Can you read
Give some new words which also have the sound of / /. Lead students to try to read the words by themselves. (出示课件)
2. Listen, repeat and chant. (课件出示: 教材P50 Let’s spell的chant。)
(1)Ask students to listen to the recording, and teach students the meaning of the chant.
(2)Students try to read after the recording, then do the actions while singing the chant.
(3)Act it out.
3. Who is faster?
Show some paper planes with words on the PPT. When the paper planes fly out one by one, students must read out the word as quickly as they can.
Words:run,sun,duck,hut,fun,but,cut,us
Step 4: Consolidation & Extension
1. Read, listen and number.
(1)First,students read the words and understand their meanings by themselves.
(2)Then listen to the recording and number the words.(课件出示:书本50页Read,listen and number的音频。)
(3)At last,read the words in order to check the answers with teacher.
2. Listen and write.
(1)First,students have a look at the pictures.
(2)Second,try to spell the words with fingers after the teacher.
(3)Third,the teacher teaches the spelling rule again and again.
(4)Fourth,let students listen to the recording and write down the words. (课件出示: 书本第50页Listen and write的音频。)
(5)Fifth,check the answers together.
(6)At last,students learn to read the words loudly by themselves.
