课时内容:
本课时涉及的部分是语言知识运用、友谊的秘诀以及帮助朋友,包括 Attributive clauses(1),Keywords of friendship及 Helping our friends三部分。Attributive clauses(1)讲解的是that、which、who、whom、whose引导的定语从句,让学生初步了解定语从句的基本用法。Key words of friendship部分通过一首诗歌的形式,陈述了维护友谊需要宽容、互相鼓励等,旨在学会维护友谊,让友谊之树长青。Helping our friends是帮助朋友,当朋友遇到困难时,要积极主动地伸出援助之手,提供建议和帮助,让朋友感受到友谊的温暖和力量。
课时目标:
1.掌握并记忆本课时的重点词汇 inspiring, teenager, comfort, patience, humour, quality, anxious, distance, postpone的用法,能在真实语境中灵活运用。
2.掌握that、which、who、whom、whose引导的定语从句的基本用法。通过学习定语从句,学会分析句子结构,找准先行词,分析关系词在定语从句中充当的成分,从而确定正确的关系词。在具体的应用中,提高学生分析问题、解决问题的能力。
3.通过品读诗歌“Friendship soup”以及小短文“Help ng our friends”,培养学生主动帮助、鼓励、耐心等优良品质;也在品读文章的同时,提高阅读能力和欣赏水平,学会品鉴诗歌,欣赏英语之美。
4.通过怎样让友谊更长久,怎样帮助朋友这些话题的学习,让学生体会与人相处之道,多一份理解,多一份耐心,多一份鼓励,再加一份爱心,友谊之树才会长青,为学生今后的人际关系、与人相处奠定基础。

准备好该部分内容的PPT和音频材料;准备好典型的、接近学生生活的定语从句,让学生在真实的语境中体会定语从句的用法。将该部分的词汇融会贯通,做出图片、关联记忆等,帮助学生有效记忆、灵活运用。
学生准备:
1.列举五个that、which、who、whom、whose引导的定语从句。
2.分析所列举的定语从句的句子结构和句子成分,体会定语从句的用法。
3.预习课本P42和P43的内容,找出新词汇,并猜测或查找词典了解其含义。
教学过程:
Step I Language learning
1.Ask students to read the sentences on Page 41 of Activity 1 and tell what “that” and “who” refer to.
2.Compare the sentences(a, b)with the following sentences(c, d).
Guide students to analyze the structures of sentences.
Then ask students to think of the usage of attributive clauses.
3.Ask the students to look for more sentences with attributive clauses in the reading passage.
4.Do Activity 2 on Page 41.
Ask students to rewrite the underlined sentences with that,which、 who、 whom 、or whose.
5.Do Activity 3 on Page 41.
Complete the online forum post with that, which, who, whom or whose.
Give some other examples and ask students to fill in the words above.
6.Ask students to show the attributive clauses prepared before class and analyze the sentences to deepen the understanding.
Ask students to sum up the words used in attributive.

Step II Keywords of friendship
1. Ask students to read the poem “Friendship soup” on Page 42. And then find the meaning of the words in bold.
2. Do Activity 5 on Page 42.
Ask students to come up with some other words to keep friendship. And then share the words in pairs and report to class.
Step III Helping our friends
1. Ask students to read the short introduction of “Helping our friends” on Page 43 to learn about the origin of “friend”.
2.Listen to the conversation and number the events in the correct order.
First ask students to read the sentences in this part, and then order them correctly as they listen.
Ask students to check answers together.
3.Ask students to listen to the conversation again and complete the table of Activity 8.
4.Ask students to work in pairs and make dialogues about solving a problem between friends.
【设计意图】听力是高考所要求的基本能力之一,因此通过平时的练习提高听力水平很有必要。该部分设置了不同层次的练习题,要求学生将所给句子重新排序及完成表格,由浅入深,符合认知规律,易于学生接受,也能获得成就感。该部分再设置语境,让学生利用所听到的信息进行对话练习。语境真实,接近学生生活,能激发学生的兴趣。通过该练习,将听写几种能力有机融合,提高英语运用水平。
Step IV Sum up
总结定语从句常见关系词的用法,并能根据给出的句子正确分析分子结构,并灵活运用。
