课题：PEP 六年级上册Unit1 How tall are you
Part A Let’s learn
学习目标：
1. 能听、说、读， 写单词：taller, shorter, older, younger, longer
2. 能够理解形容词比较级的基本构词规律，即在词尾加er。
3.能够在情景中运用句型：How tall are you I’m … metres.
4.能在情境中正确使用比较级描述人或动物的外貌特征。
学习重点:

学习难点:
能在情境中正确使用比较级描述人或动物的外貌特征。
教学过程:
单元教材分析： 本单元主要学习形容词的比较级，如果按照教材的编排直接教学，就会产生单元学习知识点分散、机械重复，因此，对本单元尝试“主题化分类比较”，本课时是本单元的A部分的词汇课，按教材编排在第二课时，如果为了给对话教学做好铺垫，我们可以作为开学第一节英语课，作为第一课时来设计，课本上所给的情景是同学之间进行年龄、身体、高度和长短的比较。正好是新年过后开学比较容易创设情景来教学。
课前三分钟： T:Let’s show. 一、Warming up T:Hello boys and girls.Welcome back to school. Everyone had a new year. How old are you How tall are you 师生一起说歌谣，复习巩固与本节课相关的知识，即描述人的身体外貌特征。
二、Presentation Step1:Let’s learn Task 1 T:If you are taller than your partner, you can say: I’m taller than you. If you are older than your partner, you can say: You are old than you. 板书 tall--taller old--older T:Miss White and the children are on the playground. They are compare with each other. Let’s have a look！ Q：How tall is John Let’s listen! S:He is 1.61 metres. 1.教授taller and shorter T:（呈现标上数据的图片）But, Zhang Peng is 1.65 metres. So, Zhang Peng is taller than John. John is shorter than Zhang Peng. Let’s listen and repeat.教读taller 和 shorter 其他的新授方式同上。 2.教授younger和older 教读younger 和 older 教授longer 教读longer Step 2:Do a survey and make a report.

三、Consolidation 活动：明星档案
活动方式：全班学生四人为一小组，根据教师提供的表格填写一位明星的个人资料。表格如下： 学生填写好“明星档案”后，用一段话介绍一下各自喜欢的明星。 如:I like Quan Hongchan. She is a diver. She is from China. She’s 15 years old and she’s 1.43 meters. She likes diving and playing games. 最后让学生利用今天所学句型比较明星们的身高和年龄：I am taller than Quan Hongchan. Quan Hongchan is older than me. Tips: 1.Write a passage . 2.Share it with your partner. 3.Let’s show.(小组长推举一位代表到台前展示)
四、Summary What we have learned today 1. 学习了下列单词： younger, older, shorter, longer, taller. 2. 学习了询问身高的句型： —How tall are you —I’m ...meters. —I’m taller. You’re ...than me.
四、Homework 1.听录音5分钟。 2.用英语与自己的好朋友比一比身高、年龄等。
