Content Analysis
Presenting ideas requires students to introduce a film or story about the relationship between humans and animals by reviewing the plot of the film or story and share it with the class. Through the explanation of content and viewpoints, students are encouraged to review the content they have learned, and then master it, and apply it and practice it in a real situation. In this section, students will review some key vocabularies they have learned in this unit and the grammar so that they could better grasp the knowledge of this unit. By doing so, their logical thinking capabilities and oral presentation skills can be practiced and advanced.The reflection guides students to review the major parts of the contents of the unit and evaluate their performance by different levels and aspects. Students will also think about what they have done well and what they need to improve in the future. In this way, they will be able to develop and upgrade their learning mentality, behaviours, and strategies.

1. Reviewing Review some key vocabularies with interesting games, some important,phrases, animal idioms and grammar with exercises. Students play word puzzle games and the chemical equation to review important vocabularies;Students review some important phrases by translation.Students review some animal idioms by Q&A;Students review how to choose relatives correctly by watching a video and doing some exercises.
2.warming up Arouse student’s interest and help them be prepared for the following teaching content. T asks Ss to watch a video and answer two questions: Q1: What’s your feeling after watching the video Q2: What do you think of the relationships between humans and animals Students answers T’s questions by using vocabularies, and sentence patterns they have learned in this unit.
3.Brainstorming Introduce the topic and help Ss determine their topic and make full preparations for their presentation. 1. T asks Ss to think about the films or stories they know on relationships between humans and animals.2. T asks Ss to complete the notes. 3. Ss complete the notes.
4.Practicing Help Ss make full preparations for their presentation. T shows some pictures to Ss and asks them two questions to trigger their memory about similar stuff: Q1: Who is it Q2: What does it talk about T asks Ss to watch a brief introduction about Hachi.T introduces the movie to Ss to help them summarize some key information.Ss learn something about Hachi so as to better introduce this film that is related to human and animal relationship.
5.Presenting Encourage Ss to present their stories and assess other their presentation. T shows Ss some useful expressions to help them better introduce the movie or the story.T gives Ss 3 minutes to prepare for their introduction.T gives Ss 2 minutes to present their idea to their parents or friends. After presenting, T aks Ss to have their friends or parents assess their performance from plot, language and stage style.T shows Ss a possible version of the presentation.
6. Reflection Help Ss rate their performance, review the unit, and think about ways to improve. 1. T asks Ss to recall what they’ve learnt in this unit. 2. T asks Ss to complete “Reflection” on P60.3. Ss rate their performance in this unit.4. Ss summarise what they’ve learnt and think about what they need to improve.
