教材分析 B部分共四页,分两课时。第一课时仍然呈现情景对话和练习。Miss White 带着孩子们观察大象,孩子们开始描述它具有的具体特征。在此过程中呈现三会词汇:long, short, big, small,两会单词children, tail,以及描述动物具体特征的句式:It has a short tail. It has small eyes and big ears. Make a monster是个游戏活动。学生两人一组,利用身体部位卡片来拼图。一人说特征,一人找图卡,拼出对方描述的怪物。以此来操练重点句式:It has... 第二课时以孩子们描述鸵鸟的特征来呈现三会词汇:short, long, big, small, 以及重点句式:It has a small head. 并通过一个TPR动作反应活动Let’s do,来练习这些重点词汇。之后的阅读练习、听一听判断正误、看一看、连一连的练习以及歌曲都用来巩固练习本课的重点词汇及句型,与C部分合为一个课时。

导入新课 Teacher plays a short video and leads students to say the chant. Teacher presents some sentences and leads students to guess the animals. Say the chant after the video. Read the sentences and guess what animals they are describing. 以猜动物活动来导入,可以吸引学生开动脑筋。提供的信息与本课的主要内容息息相关,让学生把关注点放在关键信息上,为其之后用身体部位的特征来描述动物提供了可能。
讲授新课 Teacher plays another short video about at the zoo. Teacher presents the picture of an elephant and offers students a few questions. Watch the short video and sing a song. Look at the picture and answer the questions about an elephant, then describe the elephant and fill in the blanks. Next, read the conversation after the record; fourthly, complete the conversation without looking at the textbooks. Fifthly, watch the short video again to understand the conversation. Then students volunteer to read the conversation in front of the whole class. 由上一环节中的大象引到教材中的大象,过渡自然。在上个环节中,学生已经关注了大象的身体部位,所以能够较容易地听懂课文内容。通过跟读,保证学生能够正确朗读对话内容。
课堂练习 Teacher gives students some time to finish the exercises. Finish the exercises by themselves. 检测当堂所学内容。
课堂小结 这节课教师运用图片来帮助学生复习已学过的动物名称,在比较中认识动物的特征,从而引出本课的教学,让学生在朗读中了解学习内容,在朗读中纠正自己的语音、语调,这样使学生学到了生活中没有接触到的知识,大大开阔了学生的视野,真正体现了知识源于生活,知识服务于生活的理念。
